I’m obviously doing something wrong. Road transport works for me no problems at all, but so far I’ve not been able to get even the simplest railway working.

I always get the unable to find path to stop even if the stations are literally next to each other with a tiny section of track.

Across a distance when stations are near town centers and road connected I still get the same error, even if I have rail depots attached to the end of platforms.

It’s looks like a good game so far, can anyone help me get a railway running?

Could you post a Screenshot, along with your Line window open? Be easier to help. It sounds like you doing nothing wrong though.

You need to purchase a locomotive, right now you only have a passenger car. I had this issue and struggled for hours till I asked a friend on steam…

What to do when you DO have a locomotive as well then? I get this message trying to put my first electric locomotive out.

Check out my stream and you’ll see what to do, make sure if you are using an electric locomotive that you have power cables up and after you have purchased the locomotive purchase the desired passenger/cargo car and it will auto attach to the train

Now sorted. It was due to a combination of things (in part how late it was!)

No locomotive was one cause as the descriptions weren’t that clear (but can be improved over time) so it wasn’t immediately clear to me that what I’d purchased was only a carriage.

Second issue was when joining tracks it can often looks like they’re joined but when you get in really close (not always easy on long runs) you see that actually they aren’t.

Thanks for everyones help, I’m off to get building and I hope the game goes from strength to strenth adopting a few of the suggestions on the forum (expanding stations to more than the original nomber of platforms and building double tracks in one go would be mine).
