Can’t play game while internet is turned off

I router was turned off and I loaded the game, but all the options were greyed out

Can you not play the game with the internet turned off?

Yes I can and have done a few times while traveling.

It seems to be working offline now.

Go into Steam and go to the top left and click on Steam. In there you’ll see, ‘Go Offline’. You can select that and play offline. I dunno if you have to do this to play offline but I do it because I don’t like my games on the internet when I play, or at all for that matter.
