Cargo issues

When the game first started for me the cargo & industries worked (some of the time anyway); that is you saw oil wood etc moving along roads. Now however no cargo moves; nor when I set a service going and set it full load so as to hopefully simulate demand; I still get no cargo produces despite the industry indicating that it produces cargo.

I did install the new ‘cargo industries mod’, do you think I should uninstall that or am I missing something else here?

the mod changes the supply chain quite drastically and the supply chain must be working entirely from start to finish for any industry to start producing.
