However, I was trying to work out how to add an avatar to my profile and I can’t seem to work it out.  Managed to change my password using the profile edit function, but nothing I tried seems to give me an option to upload an picture.

I thought for a minute that perhaps it wasn’t possible and then i noticed that at least one person has apparently worked it out.

Go to gravatar.com and sign up with the same email address you used here, upload an image, and it will be your default avatar on any site that accept Gravatar.

I had to make the mail the “Primary address” to have it show up here.
