Thanks all!
You’re right, my models do not contain the images yet.
The models are still in beta,, and actually I haven’t even looked at them for a single moment (it’s the least fun stuff to do when you mod a train). Will try to add it for the next release with the new textures!
September 24, 2014 at 16:56 #9834TattooParticipantHere are 2 images I used. They are the tracks under the vehicle. I took it from the default images to use for my mods and it looks good. The first image is the track, the second image is the alpha of it.
Hope these help.
Check out the default images to see how they’re suppose to look, size and all. Here’s the path in case you don’t know. –Β res\textures\ui\models_small\vehicle\train – There is another on in the – ui\models – folder that is angled but I have no idea where it’s shown in game.

September 24, 2014 at 20:48 #9851DrimeNLParticipantYour update looks good SpoorObjecten! I do however think you need to put the gloss down a Little (alpha channel normal map).
September 24, 2014 at 21:30 #9853SpoorObjectenParticipantThanks Drime!

September 28, 2014 at 19:56 #10229Mykel RaziParticipantLove the ICM, one of the nicest trains I’ve ever been on.
September 30, 2014 at 15:40 #10463DK115ParticipantI have tried the SGM & VIRM. Looks very cool!
Is it true that they still do not have the right price, starting year, maintenance costs, power, icon, etc?
Any planning?

September 30, 2014 at 16:03 #10466SpoorObjectenParticipantThanks π
They don’t have the “correct” price, cause honestly, I don’t know what they cost in real life π
Right now I haven’t added the maintenance costs, but if you want it to run with those costs, you can easily change the .mdl file and add it yourself. As for the power, I did add some power and traction but it’s not the same as in real life.
I just tried a few numbers and in the end it did have a nice smooth acceleration πBoth the SGM and VIRM have Icons in the depot! However those are place holders, feel free to change them.
I won’t be changing them, don’t like doing that kind of work, sorry πSeptember 30, 2014 at 20:12 #10495LucasParticipantI’d love to have the price be comparable to other trains in the game with similar capacity and speed, so around $1.5-2 million, same for the maintenance costs, just something that is balanced with the rest of the (default) vehicles. Real-life years would be cool as well, I always feel like cheating when I’m using these because of the zero cost.
Otherwise the models are brilliant! Really cool seeing the Dutch trains I travel with weekly. Have you considered doing dutch carriages (https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercityrijtuig)? Goes well with this NS-reskin:
