@olahaldor also did animation on the doors! What I did was just feeding him assets and textures.
Download link will be on the front page when my comment is moderated there.
So for now: Happy 50th anniversary, Shinkansen 0 Series!

September 19, 2014 at 02:56 #9241LessigenParticipantCongrats on the release guys; good luck on the competition too! I can’t wait to see my own Shinkansen models released alongside this ^_^
September 19, 2014 at 03:36 #9244Jonathan078NLParticipantLol, nice work hope you win this
September 19, 2014 at 09:53 #9276PaTrondParticipantThe train set only appears with normal maps as diffuse, or it appears as blue, as most would say. Working on fix!
September 19, 2014 at 10:07 #9279olahaldorParticipantI found the error. Not easy making mods 3am at night. 😉
The error have been corrected and sent to PaTrond.

It’s already seeing a lot of service on my express routes alongside the TGV. A small thing I noticed though because of its design though is that the pantographs don’t come anywhere near the electrical wires. Any plans to perhaps extend the pantographs or work some other magic to try and make them touch?
What’s the future anyway? Any plans to make this model in short (4-car), mid and long versions? Any more tweaking? What other trains are you guys pursuing after this? 🙂
September 19, 2014 at 16:20 #9356olahaldorParticipantThe pantograph should be a quick fix.
The Shinkansen can potentially be made as kind of a modular solution as well. That way you can purchase your head – mid – tail cars individually. We’ll discuss that later.
As for the future, I’m thinking of doing some new multi unit train, also this run by NSB in Norway. I think and hope it will be welcome by the players.
EDIT:
I wonder if the electric lines are a bit tall in-game. Either that, or the height of them are different from Japan. I had to raise them A LOT to make contact between the lines and the pantograph. But at least it’s done now.

September 19, 2014 at 16:34 #9359SpoorObjectenParticipantNope, same issues on my dutch trains Ola 🙂
tried to make em touch the wires but it didn’t look nice 🙁Looks like the wires are just really high in Swiss 😉
September 19, 2014 at 16:48 #9360olahaldorParticipantI had to stretch the pantograph on my Flirt as well, even though it’s Swiss design. Might just be the game then. But it’s not a big problem. Just looks a tiny bit weird.
September 19, 2014 at 17:52 #9369Banter_NMBSParticipantPerhaps the wires are designed for that DUALSTOXX train you get at the end? That’s the only train that seems to have natural pantographs, even though it’s pretty big.
Ola, do your future plans include the AM/MR’s? I’m not sure if you got my reply e-mail, so..
