Non-removable track

Dear support team,

There is a chunk of track on my map which I cannot remove – I tried clicking on every inch of the track with the bolldozer tool but it never turns yellow.

Any suggestions how I can get rid of it so I can connect the station – needless to say that this piece of track cannot be connected to any existing track either which is very frustrating.
