    Hi

    I'd like to know a few things about this new config option;

    The 'exponent to attenuate late game town growth', how exactly does it work? It's not obvious to me.

    What does a low exponent do? Does it slow down city growth, or does it reduce the decay?

    Is it a constant factor like city_size=city_size^exponent or is it a variable like city_size=city_size+growth_var^exponent?

    -What is late game, exactly? Is the year part of the algorithm? Or is there a certain year after which cities grow less?

    Thanks,

    Hello eek!

    The exponent determines, how the town grows after reaching 500 inhabitants. I can´t tell you the exact formula, but a value below 1.0 causes the growth to flatten out, but it will not cause decay.

    The decay, which is sometimes observed in old save games, is caused by the shift of the goal, to which the city wants to grow toward. If, due to the new formula and other adjustments we made, the goal is below the current city size, a decay may occur.

    Best regards,
    Tom
