Can I upgrade the station for more railways, or I need destroy old and build new one with more railways on the same place and manually edit the lines?

I would much prefer to be able build stations like in Chris Sawyer’s Locomotion where you build the track first and then build the platforms on the tracks, this would give much greater flexibility to building stations such as building them on a curve, or with different platforms not parallel to each other, or building the station on a bridge.

Then build new station, connect rails and the line will upgrade automatically?
