Asrock Board (60€) with MCE enabled on all Cores (it means – the turbo feature from Intel is enabled on alle cores – 3.8Ghz)
For my opinion the most important hardware for train fever (at the moment) is the SSD and the Processor, because textures must be loaded from the drive.
Later when the cities are growing, the engine creates a huge amount of sims, and on this point the most processor are the slow, because the engine use currently only one core, instead of all.

I’m using an normal HD or the game and my OS is on an SSD
I thought it is a decent system but still I am having a lagging game experience. Maybe it is related to AMD but I thought they working on an patch. Is there a way to use more processors?
First of all, put TF on your SSD because the HDD has more or less not more than 80-90 MB/s – read/write performance, and have a huge response time. (that can cause lags)
This the only thing, that you can do at the moment – sorry ;(
We/you must wait for the patch, which will fix the problems with the performance (hopefully)
And sorry for my english, i am an older man who learning english since 5 months 😛
Because I’ve got some serious performance issues with decent system.
Your not alone, but hopefully, the dev’s can resolve some of these issues.
Here is my post on performance: http://www.train-fever.com/forums/topic/performance-issues-decent-spec-rig/
