    Hi Daren!

Intel cards are known to cause problems with Train Fever, there it is not official supported. However there is a good chance to get it to run. You could try to install the latest beta drivers (20.19.15.4474) for your Intel chip. This version was reported to work.

    Hello!

Not a GIMP bug, just Train Fever being “unhappy” ;) about the alpha channel, which GIMP and some other programs add to the image.

You can remove it in GIMP via the menu: Layers -> Transparency -> Remove Alpha Channel.

Photoshop Elements – to my best knowledge – does not support this feature and therefore strips it on loading and resaving.

    Hi!

Please try to hit ALT+Return – this will bring the game to windowed mode. Hit ALT+Return again to go back to full screen mode. The native resolution should be restored.

    Hi!

This is truly a unique problem. Can you give a little bit more detail about the problem? Is there a certain situation when this occurs? Do you play in windowed or full screen mode? And on which operating system?

    Best,
    Tom

    Hello!

Please verify the update settings of Train Fever. In your Steam library right click Train Fever and select “Properties”. Under the “Updates” tab make sure that it is set to always keep the game up to date. Also you might allow background downloads.

You can also verify the integrity of the game cache on the “Local files” tab.

If that did not help let me know.

    Dear crazypotato!

You can either change the “windowSize” value by editing the “settings.lua” file, which can be found here: \userdata\\304730\local

or just press “ALT + Return” to switch into windowed mode and “ALT + Return” again to restore the native fulscreen resolution.

The problem is that Wallingford is the first (1) and the last stop (3), which is not necessary and can in fact cause problems (the train tries to go from (3) to (1), which it can´t because it is the same stop and will eventually give up and skip it).

The line will be fine with 2 stops, so just delete stop (3) and everything should work including the overlay and frequency. People will also start using the line when it gets valid.

    Best regards,
    Tom

This simply means that the factory is looking for more customers. Either you have to wait until the city grows or you have to connect a second city. You can see the cities demand and how well it is met when you click on one and look at the values next to “Cargo items supply”.

Can you upload one of your savegames with these issues and send us the link? This would be the easiest way to check what is going wrong.

Make sure to set the encoding to UTF-8 in notepad++ (you can find it in the main menu), this should ensure full compatibility. If that does not work, feel free to contact us again!

in reply to: Line with interval 45min is working. why? #21541

    Hi!

I assume you ask because of the “20min rule”.

Traveling time is calculated as follows: The actually time on the foot / road / rail plus half of the frequency of the line for each line change (it is assumed that when somebody exchanges at a stop not knowing when a vehicle arrives the average will be half of the frequency).

But at the first stop only a quarter of the frequency will be added to the total time (assuming somebody goes to a stop knowing when vehicles depart).

So in the case of your example this will result in a waiting time of about 11 minutes, leaving 9 minutes for traveling.

    Best regards
    Tom
