They won’t do that since it’d be bad publicity to show the flaws of the game (beta) and besides that, I don’t really see the advantage of knowing what they did in the beta.

Well, I don’t think that money’s going to be an issue, because… well… This is a forum already, isn’t it? There’s no need to pay for extra services and such.

It’s not like they’d need to add an entire crew of tech geeks to run the site/forum either, I was simply talking about adding sub-forums to make this forum a little less chaotic. Which, by the looks of it, should be any harder than making a topic here (since the General-Discussion thing looks like a sub-forum map).

Sure, when the game’s released and they start making money, they could think about expanding the site/forum even further, but I doubt that that’s really needed at all.

Excuse me for this post bump, but I feel like this is something that should be brought to the attention of the devs.

(it gave me the impression that the release date would be minimum of 2 years from now).

Honestly, thats my feeling about everything on this site. It’s not just the forum, but it’s also the videos. Everything looks like the release date is years away, but the fact is that it’s going to get released next week.

And by the looks of it, it shouldn’t be too hard to add subforums, because the map called General Discussion looks like a subforum… Though it’s the only subforum… 😐

Admins aren’t really neccesairy though, as I said the people here are nice, but it could be usefull to have someone answer questions and lock topics if needed. But again, that’s not really neccesary.

    http://www.train-fever.com/forums/topic/day-night/

This was litteraly on the first page of this forum…

And no, the game won’t come with a day/night cycle and as far as I know, no different weather types.

Search before you make a ne topic, a lot of things have already been discussed and answered. 😉

He did not at all ask to drive trains, so I definitly don’t see how TS is in any way relevant other than that both games have trains in them…

He’s asking for a more complex way to transport goods from point A to B.

If I’m not mistaken, you need to activate the retail version on Steam as well.
Kind of too bad, since I’m not a fan of Steam, but I can completly understand that choise.

Since there are no clear rules on this forum and since there doesn’t seem to be an ‘official’ language here, I wrote it in English.

I guess they want to keep them as a surprise.
What’s the fun in upgrading vehicles if you already know what they’re going to be.

It’s probably not like they’re going to reveal anything new there anyway.

I guess that if you watch all the videos they’ve posted, you’ll have plenty of insight in how the game will work, even if your German isn’t good.

The release date is 5th Sept., that’s in less than a month, so just wait…

This site is full with pics of vehicles from behond 1975… Just search, I found these in less than a minute.

”Guys, just remember that it is only a beta, those are all things that will be worked on. ;)

Sure, but pointing out stuff will actually make the devs aware and aprove surtain things ;). I could just go ”Oh everything’s absolutly wonderful” and give it a 10/10 IGN-style, but there’s always room for improvement Atleast that’s how I think of it. 😛

But it looks like a very solid beta, so that’s great! 😀

I think the devs will only make it easy for modders to put I.E. new train models in the game.

To change the behaviour of trains you need to mess about with the code I think. I doubt it that the devs will make it ‘easy’ for someone to change the code, just because they probably don’t expect anyone to change the AI’s behaviour.

I think that, if you’d really want what you just said, you’ll have to ask the devs themselves to make difficulty levels just like SM RailRoads has for example. It had an ”easy” mode, a ”medium” mode and a ”hard” mode.

In easy trains would just become ghosts and go trough each other,

in medium one train would stop and the other would go trough the stopped train,

on hard trains couldn’t go trough each other and you’d need to make sidings (which was kind of impossible due to the moronic and old AI system [”Oh, there’s a train on that track, but not on this track. Let’s go to the track with the train on it :DDDD”]).

A ”Super-Hard” mode in TF would be nice. I’m not a big fan of trains just doing a 180 and going the other way, just like you’d like a very complex shutter system.

And maybe if you want a super complex and complicated AI system you could try A-Train. I literaly gave up on that game. It was so complex that I didn’t even understand it, but on the other hand, I loved it how train drove backwards and you could place them on sidings.

But as I said,I think it’s best to ask the devs for a complex system instead of a modder, since they know how the code works (I hope :P).

I didn’t see this in the video made by Tom.IO (the German).

I honestly don’t think it’s all that necesairy though, if you F something up, you can always just delete the F-up and start over. But sure, I’d be nice, I won’t deny that. Especially when you got a lot of tracks and things start to get complicated.

You mean that you could lay tracks on grass next to the road?

That’d be kind of nice, especially on long stretches of road with nothing next to it.
