    Great Metropolis.

    I’ve gotten close in my games but gotten bored of replacing vehicles and quit each time.

    Also, i disagree with the way the load/unload pax currently badly mucks up train timings and ends up bunching them up, making the problem worse and worse.

    I have a new goal though seeing your city.  Thanks for sharing.

    My theory on TF2 is if they really need to rewrite and call it TF2 to fix this version, they owe us at minimum discounted purchase of the next one.
    I personally enjoy this game.  Although I find time goes too fast (or OpenTTD goes too slow) and the maintenance costs make using trains not worth it, but you don’t build towns without it.  Lots of wishes, etc.  Even had a waypoint need pop up yesterday in my hard game.

     

    So DLC, patch, version 2, I don’t care.  I just would like to see them actually work to fix it and not gouge us too badly.  A company that actually stands behind their product would be a nice change from normal software.

    Use bus lanes.  Your buses for by traffic.  This includes on roads between cities.  Your tricks will get access to bus lanes as well.  Traffic can be handled this way.  Other method is create a new route for traffic by building road not on the bus path.

    When this happened to me with my TGV service, I had to increase frequency (cut down to the 200kph trains you mention) and also the bus feeders seem to work best at 60seconds or less frequency in my experience.  Also, where I had to look was at traffic inside the city.  This same traffic jam was killing my bus/tram routes.  So add bus lanes, create diversion roads for cars, etc.  you need to make sure your feeder system flows and flows quickly.

    I don’t see the pax jumping train as a bug.  As long as how I understand it is how it is.

    I see it as their timer has expired.  So they’re not where they’re going and therefore not available to you any more.  I would look at increasing frequency of the feeder and or the train to prevent this.

    Maybe i’m wrong though.

    Interesting choice.  I do agree, especially as you get deeper in game, the running costs far outstrip the growth in traffic on the rails. I took my first game on small map easy to 2054 or later.  Going back and trying to build more sooner to see if the cities will grow fast enough.  Only got to about 800 in a couple cities.
