ParticipantI think the UI in general needs a bit of reworking. The interfaces are very inconsistent. The depot windows for example are different between road and rail depots (look for example to how selling vehicles works in both). I also dislike how every dialog has a different size as well, and some windows (esp. the lines window) become bigger and bigger as the game progresses.
The UI should be consistent, and I think resizable windows is part of the featureset that is required.

ParticipantThe spreading of vehicles used to work fine for me, but since the last update I have not noticed any vehicle waiting at a stop to make sure the vehicles are distributed evenly. Maybe it’s just something with this update? Maybe I am just imagining things?

ParticipantI agree with the fact that just taking the first platform that is available is not realistic. However, I do not think the arguments to not have it work out: in the real world, trains do not only have a fixed platform, but also a fixed time to leave. Especially at bigger stations, the platforms are assigned in such a way that there never have to be two trains at the same time. In Train Fever however, there is no such thing as a timetable, so it is entirely possible that two trains of different lines arrive consecutively at one time, and simultaneously another time. In the second case, it would be nice to have a backup platform. Because in real life, when a train is delayed, aren’t trains rerouted to another platform when there is no space?
I do think adding dynamics would be a good thing, but I think it is more important to be able to assign platforms to a line, because if there is a station with three platforms, I would like to use two platforms for lines going through, and the other platform for a terminating line.

ParticipantYeah, I ran into a similar problem as well, that is why I always double check the line in the lines interface after adding electric trains to it. My suggestion would be to add an overlay option that highlights electrified and non-electrified tracks in two bright different colours. Maybe this could tie in nicely with an overlay that shows the maximum speed of a piece of track, even after building.

ParticipantThe total time to travel by train + the time it takes the coal to wait for the train is probably longer than just walking in this case. With only a single train, that might very well be the case.

ParticipantI have been having issues making bridges over track using the default bridge style as well, so I usually change it to another. I also don’t know if you are aware of this already, but you can customise the slope of the track by clicking on the little slope icon near the end of the track piece you are currently building to toggle between manual and automatic slope selection.
