Cool! This is one seriously good looking mod, can’t wait to try it out later.
dj_jay_smithParticipantKeep trying. many times I ‘missed’ a vehicle and then it was all messed up.
In the end what I done was;
- Create a line in a town on the edge of the map.
- Assigned only buses & trams to the line. (no trucks, kept them in the garage)
- Left the town alone so that this line was isolated from the network (and losing money)
- I purchased at least 2 of every vehicle. Just to make sure that I did have every one.
- You also need to be obsessive when new vehicles are released to make sure you purchase them ASAP.
- Then, when the last bus is released I made sure that I had trams & busses running on my line, (no gaps in the tram line!) then I added al the trucks I had in the garage.
dj_jay_smithParticipantYes I done the steam verify and that fixed it.
But this vehicle was not modded and no mods had been installed for a few days (and I had started and loaded many times since). Looking in the file it looked OK to me but obviously became corrupt.
BTW: I was also unable to start a new game either
dj_jay_smithParticipantYes there is a bug here, I reported this in the bugs section.
You need all passenger & goods vehicles to get the achievement. It took me multiple attempts to get this.
I’m not sure if you need trams or not, but I got it with trams & buses & trucks.
dj_jay_smithParticipantIt would be interesting to see what happens if you delete the bus line. Would they switch to the train or not?
dj_jay_smithParticipantCool! I will take a look later.
But you might want to consider posting your mod on http://www.train-fever.net/filebase/index.php/Filebase/4-Mods/
This seems to be a central repository for mods, and saves you using your private account for hosting.
There is also somewhere a few threads on British train mods;

dj_jay_smithParticipantI was still getting a pillar collision error when trying to build a double track bridge over a single track.
dj_jay_smithParticipantGood ideas.
Also for me I would like to see:
In the “Line” window as well as “Overview” and “Finances” tabs it would be good to have “Vehicles” tab and this should have a list of all vehicles running on the line, so you can double click one and open/view it.
In the “Vehicle” window, the assigned line should be shown on the overview tab. And in the Assign/set “line” tab then you should have an option to filter by ‘visible’ lines only as well as only showing lines for the specific type of vehicle (instead of greying them out).
dj_jay_smithParticipant@FX2K
Its also happens in the UK. 1 Platform split into ‘A’ and ‘B’ and two seperate trains going in different directions.
dj_jay_smithParticipantOr perhaps include an overview tab somewhere which can include;
- Seed
- Number of trains, trams, trucks etc.
- Passengers per year
- Map size
- Other stats
dj_jay_smithParticipantI had this problem a couple of times and each time it was because there was a problem with the train track with a tiny gap somewhere, missing electrification or wrong signals. So I suggest that you check for these first.
One way to force a train line is to delete the road between the towns, and then if it does not show the train line then you have one of the problems I stated above.
dj_jay_smithParticipantYes I agree with this.
Wasn’t this option called “unload all” in another game?
It would also be good if you could specify an amount of time to wait for loading. E.g. Full or xx minutes.
Or perhaps stating to load only a specific type of cargo would be useful.
dj_jay_smithParticipantSorry, I just saw that you wanted this info for track, I misread it as for vehicles!
dj_jay_smithParticipantSomore more ideas;
- A3 steam loco
- Class 37 diesel
- Class 80 electric
- ‘Duchess of Hamilton’ 4-6-2 Coronation class
- Class 55 diesel (Deltics)
dj_jay_smithParticipantHi,
Yes this should be possible. If you look in your Train Fever directory under;
…..\res\models\model\vehicle\train (or repalce train with other vehicle) then you should find .mdl files.
These are basically text configuration files, in which you can change details. Do a search for “availability” and you will find a section like this;
availability = {
yearFrom = 1964,
yearTo = 0
},Just change accordingly!
PS. Do a backup first !
