    Can this please be fixed? I understand you are working on a new game now, but leaving your old game with obvious and easy to fix bugs is not a good motivator to buying the new game.

    1) The materials deliver themselves somehow to the industry from the station, doesn’t that bother you? Same way, if the industry is close enough to the materials, it can try and get it (using something like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_truck)

    2) With your model, delivering wood to a sawmill from a forest 50 meters away with a 70-year-old horse would give huge amount of  money, because it  would be delivered very quickly. Doesn’t sound right to me.

    I think in the real world the delivery price depends mostly on the distance.

    I think there might be another possible explanation. In short: one of the lines in the resource chain is not handling the maximal amount of goods/materials. This may be the case if many goods/materials are left at the station after the vehicle (usually train) leaves full.

    That happened to me a couple of times. Here’s an idea of what is happening. Say, the train line can deliver 100 items per year, and the production chain generates 101 per year. So, after N years there will be left about N items when the train leaves the station full. Seems like the goods/materials that come first are also loaded first, so N packages per year will not be loaded at the first chance when the train comes.In simple example, after 30 years, if the train(s) capacity is also 30, the waiting time for every item will include one additional train interval, which may become more than 20 minutes in total, and the line dies.

    I think 1 km/h is a hardcoded minimum for the speed

    or you can use waypoints in the latest version 🙂

    @gGeorg,

    I don’t really understand what you mean. I think your point 1 is not correct, the price is calculated by the straight distance between loading and unloading points. At least that comes from my experience, straighter routes are making more money. And here: http://www.train-fever.com/forums/topic/how-is-the-price-for-goods-and-passengers-calculated/

    But it is not even the question of price. If waiting at the station gets you in the same or better time to your destination, you should wait and not waste the space on the vehicle. At least that’s how real people/cargo behave *usually*. So I don’t agree it is a proper behavior. While you’re not playing the winter mod where agents might get cold waiting… 🙂

    @NLTops

    actually, my route goes industry->city->raw material, just like you suggest. without an intermediate stop on the way back from raw material to industry. you probably misread my ABCs 🙂

    the problem is that raw material finds its long way to the city and get picked up there (after the goods from the industry are dropped) just to travel by train to the station right near the origin of the raw material, and only then to the industry.

    I can say I have a similar problem, but for different reasons. Sometimes I even load a game I’m playing currently…  But then I remember, that I need to replace that old cargo horse-line with about 16 vehicles. Or that I need to add a couple of cars to cargo trains to catch up with the production, and keep fingers crossed that the production won’t fall twice while the train is in the depot (right near the station). And all those dozens of other bugs or unlogical things that all the good people mention on these forums.. And I just quit.

    It is actually really sad to see how the forums are not filled with guides, achievements, challenges etc., but are 90% complaints and suggestions for the developers. Still, I have my beleif in the guys who are working on this game and really hope to see it rise to its potential.

    I also think that the elevation is taken into account for the transport prices.

    I have two cities, A and B, and transporting passengers A->B brings me more money per passenger (about +30%), than B->A. There is only one train and a single track, so the distance is definitely the same. Travel time is also the same as the loco is powerful and gains the max speed very fast and maintains it for the whole route.

    The only difference  is that city A is near the river, and B is quite uphill.

    So, I suppose, hauling goods or passengers uphill brings more money.

    It would be very nice if developers would actually tell us stuff like that.

    looks very nice! I’m also really hoping for an “undo” feature soon. That will help a lot

    do you have a line from raw materials to the industry? as far as I remember, the raw materials supplier can’t upgrade unless it has a line usage

    I don’t think that might be caused by a memory leak, as all the memory used by the game is freed when it is closed.

    well, if you deliver 78 items per load and your mill consumes 400 per year, your frequency for the lines should be about 140 seconds. if you make it so that the frequency is 520 seconds (3 times less frequent), you should still be within 20 minutes limit to be able to deliver the materials, and you can haul 3 times more items per train (234 or so). to achieve that, use less trains, or use slower trains, or haul materials from further source (or some combination of those). I hope you get the idea..

    yeah, truck->train is very useful, but not vice versa..
