Could you post some information about your computer, cpu, gpu, driver and what operating system do you have?
Have you bought the Steam version? If so, could you post your steam profile link, so we can have a look if we find any crash_dumps.mikaelMemberI’ve researched your notebook specs and could only find some models with an Intel HD 3000 graphics chip. This does not meet the minimal specs for Train Fever. You need atleast a Nvidia GeForce 8800 512 MB / ATI Radeon HD 3850 512 MB or anything with more power.
mikaelMemberCould you as well have a look if you have any crash dumps in your crash_dumps folder, if so, please let us know your Steam profile link.
It could be that you have a different problem.mikaelMemberWe’re not yet sure why your error occurs, but to solve your problem, locate the settings.lua file in your Steam userdata folder and delete it.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user-number>\304730\local\
Hier in der Schweiz hatten wir Feiertage, deswegen war fast keiner am Arbeitsplatz. Dein Problem ist ein bekanntes, wir arbeiten an einer Lösung, welche mit dem nächsten Patch veröffentlicht wird.mikaelMemberHello, could you please post a link to your steam profile, so we can have a look if we find any crash dumps from you.
Does it crash also in a new game or only on a saved game?mikaelMemberThe memory is very limited on a 32bit system, we recommend to play Train Fever on a 64bit system. This is a general problem with win32.
We also recommend to play with the small map on win32 bit systems.
mikaelMemberTry to have a look at the problem with the notebooks using the wrong graphics card.
First make sure your notebook does reach the minimal specs needed to run Train Fever.
What technical data does your Toshiba Satellite have?mikaelMemberBefore re-downloading it from Steam, have you deleted the local content manually?
What error do you get, when you try to start a game?
Could you please post your steam profile link, so we can see if there are any crash_dumps regarding your problem?mikaelMemberThank you for posting those information.
It doesn’t seem like one of the obvious errors.
Could you verify the game integrity as described in this Steam post:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335&l=english
And if this doesn’t help, try to run the memory diagnostics: http://www.rm.com/Support/TechnicalArticle.asp?cref=TEC3222505
Does the error also occur if you run Train Fever as Administrator and even with no other program running?- This reply was modified 9 years ago by mikael.
mikaelMemberWe could not find any crash dumps so far. If you look in your steam userdata directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<steamid>\304730\local\crash_dump
Can you find any new crash drumps regarding your crashes latly?
Could you also please download this opengl-extension viewer
http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/download.php
and submit a screenshot similar to this:
mikaelMemberAchievements are not-earnable if at least one mod is/was active or if the vehicles selector is/was set to “all”.
When the game is running, you can see if the achievements are activated by clicking on the achievements icon in the top, left corner.
mikaelMemberThank you for submitting the savegame.
This will help us to eliminate this crash.
To keep on playing with your savegame, we’ve located a street, you need to delete in order to prevent the crash.
Search for the town: “Ferndown” and locate the street connecting the goods station. Delete the whole street and all buildings.

Then rebuild the street similar to the second screenshot.
This should prevent the crash. We’re fixing this with the next patch, but for now you’re able to keep on playing.mikaelMemberHello,
We need your steam profile to see what caused the crash. Could you post a link to your profile?
Also, can you please give us some information about your computer?
Is it windows 8 64bit, what gpu and what cpu do you have? How much RAM does your computer have?mikaelMemberDas Problem ist uns bekannt und hat mir der Datei Kodierung zu tun.
