    Integrated Rail/Bus Stations

Rail stations having the option for underground tram/bus stations with entrances on either side – pre-built so we just connect the roads/tramlines.

    Multi Line Stations

At the moment I find stations are the best places to have junctions – but because the tracks are all aligned in the same direction, it can be challenging. It would be nice to add to stations by being able to build platforms at 90 degrees to existing platforms – or better still, underground.

    Intercity Buses

Vehicles which are more suited to intercity bus lines than urban bus lines – (I know there are some mods which have these).

@Enzojz – I think what I do achieves the same thing but with one station entrance, unless I misunderstand. I just found multiple entrances not as efficient at developing towns. Multiple stations in a town works though – when you link them with trams.

The above station design is the only way I have found to somewhat control the lines. It forces (via one way signals) a train to stop at the station and turn around in platform and head back the other way. Through trains will use the outside platforms and do not get held up by stopping trains – also, the trains from each end of the station get a dedicated platform. It’s working well, but what I really want is a slow and fast line. This can be done at the moment, but the lines will choose any path they feel like – waypoints are essential. Later on with the above network design you get  congestion as freight/local/intercity trains all use the same line. Junctions also become congested.

Thanks! I mess around with the roads a lot – great to know the reason. I wonder if it’s worth having a ‘is connected’ indicator on industries? Thanks again for the help.

My steam name is nedsonjj – the past 2 games I put a lot of work in to only for them to crash. The latest one is crashing 01/08/1902 – I had the same problem on my previous game and verified the integrity of the steam cache as per your suggestion to someone else. Can you take a look please?

    Thanks!
