A-B-C-D-A routes are in general ineffective. For smaller cities tho, its usefull as the line can cover more area and completes it faster. Therefore u need less busses. But for larger routes, in my expirience, busses fill up in the first couple of busstops, so people waiting at later busstops are continuesly waiting for a full bus… As people at the first busstop who enter the bus, need to travel the whole line in order to get to the railroadstation.

    My view 🙂

Oh and that bug with looping busses also occurs when the city grows. When a road is connected to the road a bus is driving on, it randomly gets put on another road which is not even part of the line its driving. Very weird… But they will keep following the line correctly. Altho this messes up the time between busses which is very hard and time-consuming to reach.

Frequency is the total amount of minutes to complete 1 line for a single bus/tram/train devided by the number of busses/trams/trains on that line.

Im pretty sure frequency is an average of that.

If this is true then a better way of explaining frequency is to say that its the average waiting time for stuff or passengers to wait for their train to arrive. This means that this does not include travel time, or time to get to the train/tram/bus station/stop.

Build a line with just 1 bus. Look at the frequency. Then build another bus right after it. Ull see that the frequency has halved, altho the busses are driving right behind eachother.

I hope you understand this haha. This is what i figured out, I could be wrong. But in that case, i have no idea what im doing, but i must be doing something right then.

If they leave this game like it is, that would be a shame. Thats why i sincerely hope they invest alot of their time in this game to improve it. Thats why i bought it. Cuz lets face it, it needs alot of tweeking to be worth the money. Thats my opinion.

It has so much potential. Hope they dont mess it up.

I play with hundreds of vehicles on a medium map. Ive got i7 3,4GHz, 8 gb ram, 8gb virtual memory but still it freezes at times.

For instance, when i replace an old line with new vehicles and i buy a bunce of them at one time, the game slows down massively.

Ive also had this twice. Also dont forget to ‘electrify’ your trainstations.

    @Nique
I totally get your point. And I agree.

I think its possible (havent really checked it tho), but ive had alot of stations with different lines coming through.

Tho passengers will have waiting times of 2 lines added up to eachother. If you have a passenger that needs to ride with 2 train lines, and those lines are each 8 min frequency, i think theyre added up… This means long travel times.

Im not sure tho, but this would seem logical.

One way or another, i think the cargo system should be changed. Its just to simple right now.

I had the same doubts. I still bought it anyway. I dont think, in its current state, its worth the money (yet). Thats my honest opinion. The basics are there, now they need to focus on tweeking things, and fixing some bugs and annoying things that are still there. If i would be a dev, i would communicate as much as possible with people who really see potential in this game. I mean, who else can tell you what is of adding value then the people who play your game? Im not really following everything of Train Fever, but as far as i can see, there is not alot of communication from the devs.

Still, its fun to play. Haha ;P

You are both right. People will not use a line that has over 20 min ‘frequency’. But people will also not use it if the frequency is 15 minutes, but the rest of his yourney (from A to B (house to work)) is more than the remaining 5 minutes.

Actually i managed to add another track to my high-speed tunnel just fine…

Havent tried it with normal tracks tho.

You should see railroads as different parts. There can only be 1 train on 1 part of railroad. U can seperate railroad pieces by placing signals.

Railroad stations already have a signal build in (altho you cant see it).

Maybe theyre faster, higher numbers of passangers, longer lasting? I actually dont know.

Thats what i tried to explain n a previous post.

It doesnt matter how much time there is between busses. The time of 1 bus to complete the line is devided by the number of busses on the line itself. The time between the individual busses doesnt count (altho it might happen that, after 1 bus passed a busstop, all other busses will just remain empty. So itll make ur busline non-profitable).

Its about the fact that the ‘errors’ dont exactly tell what the error is. If a train has nothing to pull it, and in the window it says “unable to find path”, its just ineffective.

He means in general, errors should be explained more.
