    I released source code of all my Train Fever tools on GitHub under MIT License.

    https://github.com/NyanOmich/TrainFeverTools

    Also you can get latest binaries from here:

    https://github.com/NyanOmich/TrainFeverTools#latest-binaries

    Most tools are outdated, have many undone features and known bugs. I have no much time to fix and improve them for a long time. But may be they will be useful to someone.

    I will add multiple sub-mesh support and better material support into TFMC and TFMV in next version. However, don’t know exactly when, maybe next week.

    OEBB6020

    Most likely, some mods has errors or conflicts with each other. Try to disable modifications one by one. Also, I can’t guarantee compatibility of my model with costmod and so on.

    If you have problems with model position and orientation, firstly try to reset transform of mesh. In 3dsmax it’s here:

    Anyway, for now my converter has many bugs, undone features and so on. And I haven’t any time (at least until week end) to work on it and support it. So, if you have any problems with it now, then I suggest to use BR146 alternative.

    Update 0.3.3

    • Fixed animations. Now it displays most of animations are really correct;
    • Added orthographic projection and some camera position presets;
    • Added background and light color selection.

    Editing functions not included in this update. They need some more polishing.

    Now I’m planning to make some other VL10/VL11 modifications based on this model. Then, maybe, VL60 or VL80.

    VL10u beta version released.

    VL10u is a soviet (and continues to be used in most post-soviet countries) main-line electric 3kV DC freight (sometimes used with passenger trains) two-unit locomotive.

    Available from 1974 till 1986 years;
    Max speed 100 km/h;
    Weight 2 x 105 ton;
    Power 2 x 2825 kW;
    Tractive effort 2 x 160 kN.

    You can download it here http://omich.pngamers.org/trains/vl10u_beta.zip
    Or, if my site down, here http://rghost.ru/58377494

    >when I select a part of a steamer, the part moves up or down or sideways and not the proper animation

    As I said, some kinds of animation not supported properly now. I’ll fix it later.

    >I’m interested to see what you do with it.

    For now, I want to replace LODs and animations lists by a model tree graph, which shows model, groups, meshes and sub-meshes, animations, materials and textures in hierarchical structure.

    And, yes, I will add an ortho projection, and ability to move parts of a model and so on in 3D viewport.

    Tatto, if you open .mdl with animations (only KEYFRAME animation type supported now, KEYFRAME_MATRIX animations such as pistons of default steam trains seems glitchy), it shows animations list under LODs list and play it, if you choose animation there.

    TFMV uses some scripts from game to correctly load some values from vehicle configs. So, cost mod, probably, changes this game scripts and vehicle configs. To load modified by cost mod vehicles you should copy modified scripts from \TrainFever\res\scripts\ into \TFMV\lua\.

    Also, for now I’m working on implementing some editing ability into TFMV and TFMC integration.

    It’s very strange.

    To run it you just need MS DotNET Redist 4.0 (higher is fine too, I’m think) and, probably, MS Visual C++ Redist 2010 or 2012. And typically, they are already installed in the system. You can get it from Microsoft site.

    And, also, your videocard must support OpenGL 2.0 or higher (if your videocard not about ten years old, it supports).

    There are no any installation needed. You should just unpack archive and run tfmv.exe.
