pschlikParticipant
The problem is that they used 6 images on the model and TF stuff only uses one so I have to combine all the textures together and remap the model to use one image. I don’t see anywhere in TF files to use multiple images so am hoping this works.
That could be troublesome for me, too; I have no clue how the textures are mapped, and the AC4400 I want to convert also uses 6 textures, so I’d like to hear how that works out. I would experiment on my own, but I have been beyond busy this week.
pschlikParticipantWhat about adding the EMD F5 and Coaches in Great Norhtern /illinois Central livery
(Legendary Panama Limited /City of new orleans train)
I think it will be quite cool to have that legend in TF.
Mail me if you are interested in this Project and need some data and information.
You could always add a locomotive to the google drive document if you want to, but for now the focus is to get the initial vehicle list ready to run.
pschlikParticipantWhenever I try to download this, chrome tells me in some way the file is malicious. You might want to take a look into that.
pschlikParticipantI will definitely be making some trains with this, thanks! 😉
pschlikParticipantAlways get permission before importing it into an other game! Some people didn’t do this with Locomotion and those people had a hard time ahead! Most of the people are willing enough for you to use it in this game, if you g ive them the proper credits (and respect).
I’ll probably ask Streamlines at some point since TF actually uses the 3d models, I could effectively be giving people the model, so I’ll see what the original makers think.
pschlikParticipantWell, the problem with demolishing buildings is that the cost isn’t defined in a .lua file. Infinite money would definitely have some advantages.
pschlikParticipantThere’s not a mod to give you money, but this mod makes everything free of cost, so you could still pretty much have unlimited money.

pschlikParticipantThere is no unload all, and there won’t be, there is no reason. Goods and people automatically transfer between stops to get to their destination; forcing a vehicle to unload would have no purpose. Also, there are no disadvantages for a vehicle having cargo both ways, weight isn’t actually counted (yet) and the cargo automatically move by themselves (you can see where they are if you turn on the cargo layer) and your carriage must be faster to get to a town near the forest than if the goods moved by themselves.
pschlikParticipantI’m going to be importing this AC4400CW from MSTS into TF when the modding utilities are made. I’ll be making it totally generic, no road numbering, and the only branding will be my own repainting company “PSCX.” I would do a Dash 8 C since it’s on the list, but I don’t have Seligman V2 :/
pschlikParticipantHonestly, I don’t think anybody knows if skyscrapers are still in the game, it’s really hard to get a big city, and I don’t know if you even get skyscrapers in big cities in the first place.
pschlikParticipantWhen I have the time, I’ll definitely look for some of those missing power values. I think Ill also work on prices by matching the stats on a test locomotive and seeing how they perform, then basing the costs on that. Also, sine I brought it up, do you think we should add any rolling stock for the initial version?
pschlikParticipantI’d think the prices should be balanced based on other locomotives no matter what. Train Fever’s money system isn’t necessarily accurate, so the best thing to base the prices off of would be other vehicles. Also, I don’t think the first release will be standalone, we probably have the time to gather up some rolling stock research, but the focus of the first release is the locomotives.
pschlikParticipantIs anybody willing to contribute to the costs of the vehicles? So far, nobody has decided on what all these locomotives should cost! 😛
pschlikParticipantVery reliable and trustworthy designs, I’ve been using this same setup and it works very well. 😉
pschlikParticipantHowever, some of that stuff probably slipped into this episode, but other people seem fine with it, so it’s no huge deal (for me, that is). I had a long day yesterday when I recorded this, so I just did some micromanagement, talked about what I’ve noticed between American and European locomotives, and some other stuff.
