Okay well… even more to my point – showing the OP that a game going on sale doesn’t mean it doesn’t have good sales figures, that’s all.
Now that I hear these good news, I think they have the funds and time to bring this game up to CIM2’s quality (when it comes to management or UI (all the stats there, man, can’t dream for more!)
To be fair, Steam has its own system/contract/arrangement with developers and distributors and can put any game on sale any time, possibly at his own cost.
i.e. Prison Architect was an Early access game; Steam kept “advertising” the game at full price, then short after its official release it went on sale. Even though it had HUGE sales figures already!
So don’t be too quick to jump to conclusions like that 🙂 /chain reaction/

Maybe on the “middle of nowhere” areas; but this issue happens inside cities where you intend to havebuildings (hence the sidewalks).In the “middle of nowhere” country roads are built, not ones with pavement.
Therefore I don’t think it should have two sizes. But if there must be, then at least it should be the smaller size inside city limits and the bigger size outside of city limits.
But then how does the game determine the limits.. Like the devs fell in their own trapRegarding point 1, I just want to mention the Del button that already closes all windows, which is great help. I got two things for this (as suggestions):
1) Right clicking on a window should close it – since the game only uses the left button
2) The Esc button could close windows in the order they were opened. Sounds too much? Well that’s how it works in Cities in Motion 2 (pressing Esc repeatedly; although that game is missing the Del solution 🙂 )
You know, uzuraptor is right.
– That’s what it means to be a Steam Early Adopter (you support the game in its initial phase)
– That’s what it means to buy any game soon after its release, from anywhwere, as you can only expect sales later on (when they have collected “enough” income to cover expenses and they can afford to do a sale to attract more people).
– That’s what Steam is like, get used to it. I personally rarely buy a game anymore, instead I put it on my Whislist on Steam and wait for the discount. That’s how I got Assetto Corsa (33% off) and Prison Architect (66% off (or so)).
– And lastsly: How else could any distributor put any game on sale then? There are always people who just bought it prior to the sale. Like what happens in supermarkets with any goods.Tough luck… sad but what are you gonna do…

In your example (5 a month) it would take 20 months ~2 years to get a hundred buses.However, in game time, 1 month is like a minute, so releasing 5 wouldn’t even come with a significant delay

Admiral: What do you mean by spawn points? Like, the player could build them? or… that one would be automatically built one after a few decades?
flth: Are you sure? It seems to me that real companies buy vehicles in “fleets”. i.e. I’m from Hungary and the Budapest public transport company has just bought like 100 Mercedes buses.

Yes I name my games as well.
But what if you think you are playing on Paris but you are on Berlin and you click on Save and enter Paris by accident?
You cannot know for sure what map name the game has. That’s the problem. Especially if you have a dozen games.
It really is a few minutes’ work to incorporate such “metadata” in the savegame file structure(Merged first post with latest suggestions. Added some of my own)
