    You are right saying that one can pack more trains tightly together on a track with signals every centimeter, but if you are that desperate in adding trains on a track, maybe it’s more valuable to invest in parallel tracks and get those trains running again in stead of having them packed one after the other?

    Nah, I love to pack as many lines on the same tracks as possible. I think things like those:

    are ungly. There is nothing more beautifull to me than huge junctions making lots of separate tracks converge ultimately into single pair of tracks.

    Placing signals closer together then the length of one train has no real added value.

    I am sorry to inform you that this statement is false. The distance between signals sets the distance between trains so placing signals closer to each other always increases line capacity because it packs trains more tightly.

    So back to the topic: Is there any chance for a hotfix or any fix that would reduce freezes in provided situation?

    Then you definitely got something wrong. There was never an issue you are describing but there always was, and there still is about supplying one same CITY by multiple industries, even different ones.

    I kind of figured it out by now. Because I wanted to keep the cities small to prevent lag I surrounded them by rails. And it seems when cities are blocked like that it increases end of the month freezes a lot. Once you remove those rails freeze is almost gone but then cities grow huge and it as back. No way to keep the game running smooth I guess.

    Maybe I didn’t write it clearly but in this game the freeze is abnormal compared to my other experiences. I know about the usual freeze, but this map isnt even that big and developed and it freezes like hell.

    The reason I am asking this is because I have this one game where I experience ENORMOUS freeze at the end of the month and in old saves of similiar size the freeze is barely noticable.

    Here I provide the savegame: Tossi1.testtrack.sav
    and my little mods if they are needed but they only alter the base game: mods.zip

    Does anyone else experience the same freeze at the end of the month?
    Do you know the exact reason why in this game the freeze is so HUGE?

    Now that I think about it maybe I should post this topic in the support forum.

    I don’t think this can be modded and the only option is to manually replace them. Or … if you are into modding you could make a mod in which HST is set up as DMU similiar to TFV

    Yeah it’s normal. And you can switch the cargo of vehicle if you put vehicle into depot. Also cargo station is universal for all cargo. There never was such a thing as Iron Ore station.

    Did you think about what exacly do you mean by that? Because to me you seem to be asking: “Would you agree with me, that if you don’t want to have long trains, you will never have any?”

    this is the original savegame. If you check it you will notice that I increased the limit for maximum allowable production. So in case you would say something like “it wouldn’t work under normal 400 limit” I also prepared another save in which I lowered production to below 400. Oh my… It took years to downgrade that monster steel mill and then rise it back, but anyway I did it. Here is the file:

    proof it works in normal circumstances

    I don’t think you read your own posts. You said that the longest train you got was 8 wagons. Mine was 22 completly filling the longest available station. You said long trains like that can’t cross the map when mine did exactly this, traveled from one side of map to the other. You said you don’t want trains that are empty, mine was 100% full – 286 units of coal. You said that every line in this game needs dedicated tracks and you can’t have complex networks and I successfully put many lines on the same tracks whenever it is convienient. What else did you want that wasn’t in the video?

    Hi people! Long time no see. I was reading how some of you claim that long trains don’t work in Train Fever. How there is no use for full-load order. How you can’t have networks. I call this all bull****. Here I made you a video. Watch it and learn how very wrong you were.
