    Once you are using double track, don’t use passing loops. The game doesn’t properly emulate a real railroad dispatcher and instead uses fixed paths.

    There isn’t one really. It all depends on gradients.

    @Gax: How about his post 6260 where he tells someone to “Go away and play <other railway game> if you want <feature x>”. Asking someone to leave the community and stop playing the game is about as bad as it gets.

    Where it really fails super badly is if you a medium-length truck route that needs say 10-15 vehicles to service properly.

    Game world/terrain is clearly British, more specifically, the northern part of England. Compare the end game world to this Google Maps view, for instance: http://goo.gl/maps/jkrkK

    The town names are all real English towns.

    I wouldn’t mind even having to send to depot but it’s like a triple whammy… you have to pay to replace, you miss out on a load of $$, AND you lose whatever cargo/passengers are on the train when it goes to depot.

    This has been reported before. IMO it’s a bug.

    You can sort of see it. That’s what the arrow near the check box means. There are 5 levels: steep up / shallow up / level / etc. You can click the arrow which will turn it blue and give you up/down to adjust the gradient.

    Be very, very, careful. Many people on the MSTS side are VERY protective of their models. DMCA complaints are not a good time for any one involved.
