You kind of have a pop up already. Just bring up the line box in November or so and you can see what’s making and what’s losing. I don’t see a reason to force information on people when the information is a single click away.
xynixParticipantI tried this as well. On a large map I connected every single town to every single town in a giant wheel (I had a few billion) and they would eventually end up in a cluster of trains with the main one picking up passengers and the other ones lagging behind it. I started using one way lights to space them out individually so no single train could be on a track between cities. A single one way light placed at the end of every platform helped me control that to some degree. Keep in mind this is a one way ring.
Trams don’t seem to have this problem as there is simulated traffic that allows them to spread out.
xynixParticipantDo you have everything on max? I usually start games with low settings and then tune up as I see fit. I was getting the same thing until I decided to try putting it at “very high.” Since then I’ve not had any issues with graphics including artifacts and no crashing.
xynixParticipantThat could be a corrupt file causing that problem.
Assuming your using Steam here. Open Steam and go to your library. Right click on Train Fever and select “properties.” Select the tab titled “Local Files” and then click on the lowest option “Verify Integrity of Game Cache.”
That will compare your local files with the manifest to make sure your local files are exactly as they should be. If something is corrupt it will replace that file with the correct one from the server.
This works with all Steam games by the way.
xynixParticipantI want a massive distribution center. I would like to watch the traffic and tweak the transport of goods from a central area to the entire map. If for instance I needed 4 oil wells to allow a refinery to make 1600 goods then that’s fine. In fact that would be awesome. I’ll figure out how to connect those 4 into a massive line to provide the factory with enough oil to make that many goods. Really put 4 long platforms to use pushing oil.
That sounds fun to me.. I feel very limited just linking one raw source to one factory. It’s not like General Motors only has 1 supplier to make all of their cars. Even with a 400 prod oil well to a 400 prod goods factory I only need two trains and a single small platform. There is nothing to solve there.. Simply drop a few trucks or a train, connect the dots, and let the goods get to the closet town. The same thing would apply to a 1600 oil/1600 goods by the way.. sure longer trains but really nothing to solve.
I really don’t think this is asking for much just a higher limit on goods production and a justifiable reason as to why. It’s not really a train game, it’s a logistics game, and having my logistical skills challenged if I so choose should be part of the game play.
xynixParticipantLet me elaborate on this instead of just being snarky.
I want to connect every city on the largest map together on the outside by a single rail line running people movers. The interior of the map I want to connect every town together via roads from a centralized goods depot like Walmart.
Even if it required multiple sources of Oil for example instead of just one in order to get the limit much higher than 400 that would be fine. A limit of 400 is limiting the way I want to play the game.
xynixParticipantNo it’s not enough for awhile or for now. I didn’t need commentary what I was looking for was a way for prod to be increased higher than 400. Why is there always someone who needs to add that “its fine as it is.”
xynixParticipantWell no if I read your question right. There isn’t an “unload all” option. It’s pick up and drop off only. I use trucks to deliver goods and generally trains to bring raw mats to the goods hubs. I have three trains on a single 1 way line bringing 400 oil to a refinery producing 400 goods. I then have about 7 or 8 cities being served from that goods hub delivering the finished product into the city.
You can’t for example deliver wood to a platform and have trucks bring it the rest of the way to a sawmill.

xynixParticipantIncrease catchment area too. For example in a 4 way intersection put two bus stops on each road section and then group the 4 together to be one big stop. This will help with line traffic flow and will increase the size of the area you’ll be getting people from. You can also cut stops down with this as well as buses/trams.
xynixParticipantThis happens after I save a game. Clicking on anything I own seems to make WASD work again. When I go to save again there are usually a few As or Ss in there. I don’t think that text box closes properly.
xynixParticipantHover the bulldozer of the length of track and you can see how long that segment is. Segment size is determined by how you build the track. Make one swooping motion to connect station A to B and the entire segment is a single piece.
xynixParticipantWell I can’t tell you why it’s crashing but maybe a solution would be to add another station (single line and small) next to where you want to upgrade your existing one. Not so close that it will interfere with your rebuild mind you. Once built group the original station with this new station so they maintain the same name and are part of the same line. Then remove the old one and rebuild it. Regroup it then remove the small temporary station.
I’ve done this to keep production from ceasing/being disrupted when it thinks the line is no longer there. I always PAUSE while doing this type of activity.
Maybe it’s the line being fully disrupted causing the crash.
xynixParticipantThank you for that. It can’t supply enough.
xynixParticipantBest way to keep jams from jamming…
xynixParticipantNo option for that. Rip and replace is the only way to do it. Good luck realigning everything and I hope you don’t have bridges over anything on that line or you probably won’t be able to rebuild them. Pause the game and save often. If you don’t pause it could ruin production as your trains won’t see a line and then production could cease.
