Basic Question: Enable FPS

As it says on on the tin.

How do I enable FPS so I can check my frame-rate in-game?

Uncle Google hasn’t helped, and the excellent Interactive Guide doesn’t give the key mapping to enable/disable.

There’s no fps display option in the current version.

You could  use external fps display programs.

Use Fraps – http://www.fraps.com/ – it’s free to use as is the choice of many user.
