Hi guys,
first of all thank you for this awesome game! Though it is far away from classic Transport Tycoon, it really awakes the Train Fever in me again!! π
I just encountered two civil cars blocking a whole town and thought that this may be a bug:
I have no problem with this and I know how to solve it (transform the underlying streets π ), just wanted to inform you. If you are interested, I can provide the savegame.
Keep up the good works!

September 16, 2015 at 09:14 #19831adminKeymasterHi 7even!
A savegame would be great! Can you upload it somewhere and email me the link?
Thanks!
TomSeptember 17, 2015 at 18:51 #19856AnonymousInactiveIt took me some time to upload – please tell me when the archive is broken as it uploaded unattended… π

September 17, 2015 at 22:35 #19869AnonymousInactiveAfter solving the traffic jam, I noticed that there was something wrong with the bus stop that is heading towards the outside of the town.
No bus stopped there, they turned back at the next street crossing instead and serviced the bus stop on the other side of the road. After that, they turned again (directly after the bus stop, but this may be different for my game now, as I transformed the road to 4 lanes and it goes bigger now directly after the bus stops) and headed to their original direction.
I solved this with replacing the bus stop. Maybe this is completely unrelated to the original misbehavious … but it is incorrect as well! π
……. naaah …. just noticing another weird behaviour: cars are turning directly below the bus stops now (maybe this is unrelated as well, but maybe I found your hidden feature, the famous “Bermuda Triangle” ?? π π )
September 18, 2015 at 09:18 #19871adminKeymasterI got the save intact, sorry! But IΒ΄m still missing some mods. Do you have a list on hand of which mods you used. If yes, would you mind sending it me via email (can be found in the About section).
Thanks!
TomSeptember 18, 2015 at 20:01 #19877AnonymousInactiveNo problem, I uploaded them here: http://www.site7even.de/temp/Mods.zip
I am not sure if all of them are active/were registered correctly as I did not found the modifications of some of them in the game …. but too much is better than too few.
September 18, 2015 at 22:20 #19878AnonymousInactiveIt happened again! In a different town.
This time, I nearly watched it live how it happened: the city built a new road. The new crossing for this road was inserted approx. one normal sized building before the bus stop. Afterwards this bus stop was not serviced, the line took the new road instead and routed back to the bus stop on the opposite side.
The line fixed its layout when I deleted the bus stop from the timetable, but got weird again when I inserted it again. I had to replace the bus stop again, then it was accepted – but now the bus stop on the other side got broken! I had to replace this one as well, now everything is fine again.
//Edit:
The story continued and now I am not sure, that the new road built by the town was the trigger. I noticed that other lines in this town had this problem as well. Then, when fixing one of those issues, another one occurred (on a different line). This continued a few times, now everything is solved.
September 18, 2015 at 22:58 #19880AnonymousInactiveI uploaded a new savegame in which you can see the broken lines, if you want:Β http://www.site7even.de/temp/Spiel%201%20-%202130%20-%20Bus%20Stops%20Broken.sav.7z
The savegame should be positioned right upon “Amselweg” that is affected.
What I noticed additionally, meanwhile (cause I built a new line in Eccleshall and now the chaos grew up to perfection π ):
- Replacing the bus stops seems to be not necessary
- Removing the station from the line’s timetable and re-inserting does different stuff each time – sometimes it solves the issue immediately, sometimes a few tries are necessary
- The line’s rerouting order (when removing/reinserting an affected station) seems to be:
- The line draws an additional route part to fulfill the new requirements (the line route around the changed station is now doubled)
- The collateral line breaks or fixes at one of its stations
- The original line removes its old route part
September 21, 2015 at 10:17 #19930adminKeymasterSorry to keep you waiting. Seems IΒ΄m missing a couple of mods to load the game. Would it be to much to ask that you also send my your mod folder? I know it can be huge some times. Alternativly a list of mods you used?
Thanks!
September 21, 2015 at 21:23 #19938AnonymousInactiveNo problem, I uploaded them here:Β http://www.site7even.de/temp/Mods.zip
I am not sure if all of them are active/were registered correctly as I did not found the modifications of some of them in the game β¦. but too much is better than too few.
Did you checked this package? Is there something missing?
September 22, 2015 at 09:44 #19946adminKeymasterWould you mind sending me an email? Not with the mods, I downloaded them. But just to make communication easier.
You can find the address here: http://www.train-fever.com/about/urban-games/
Also due to the Save game name, may I assume you speak German? π
September 24, 2015 at 21:55 #19972AnonymousInactiveSorry for the delay, I just sent an email.
And yes, I am german too! π
But it feels weirdly wrong to change the language of communication within a thread!!!! π π
September 25, 2015 at 09:51 #19977CosmicspaceheadParticipantI gave up on busses and i just use trams now.. lol
my busses kept taking wierd routes to bus stops, even though, for example, i’d just have 1 route go right up the center of town and back again, they’d still end up avoiding certain roads and going around the block. I think the cities roads may have minor or invisible gaps in them.
Trams need tracks, so trams go where i damn well tell them to go. lol Job done. lol
(plus later in game, intercity trams look cool)
September 25, 2015 at 17:03 #19978AnonymousInactiveHi Cosmics, did you checked whether your lines changed like I described?
Until now, I did not had a case where just one or just a few busses took weird routes – it always affected the whole line that was weirdly changed.
For me it is no option to abandon one transportation vehicle/type completely, as I love to try different things. Because of this, I have towns with bus lines only, towns with tram lines only and towns with a combination of both types. Extremely interesting, how they behave differently.
Recently, I wanted to build an intercity tram line as well, but (at least without additional mods) the tram has a speed disadvantage over busses, so I built an interurban bus line …. which came up with a different challenge than normal bus lines (capacity).
October 6, 2015 at 15:25 #20074adminKeymasterA quick heads up on the βcars getting stuck (in each other)” situation.
I looked at several save games (thanks to everybody for sending them in!) and the cause for the traffic jam is not the cars that get stuck in each other, as some of you suggested (in some cases cars can spawn into an existing jam but would drive on normally when there is way for them to go).
In the most cases it is in fact a grid look caused by 2 cars, who want to turn at the same time. Like in the screenshot above, the blue car might want to turn to south and the white one to the north and now block each other.
However trams getting stuck at stops is a different topic. I have put both topics on the list of problems which are urgent to resolve.
