So that’s what I figured. I’ll play a game up to year 2015 on HARD difficulty and will post my progress each decade.

With your help and comments I can improve it and people who have problems on hard difficulty can take some advice from this thread and improve their creations.

I started a game on USA DLC, sorry, forgot to get the seed, maybe i’ll try to get it later on.

First 10 years i spent on building some City-City connections via Bus lines. Also a little Oil line to get some extra cash going, but this one is not looking like it’s going to grow until I start delivering goods as well.

    Fingers Crossed so far.

    The year is 1870.

I closed the ring of bus connections with 5 towns. I had to build a road from Feemont to Railegh, which cost me around 250K (ouch).

Also, repaid 500K of my initial loan (I’m going to try complete the Transport Shark achievement on Hard difficulty).

All lines bringing profit. Already replaced all vehicles on 2 lines due (things get old quickly).

I really want my first train to leave the depot, but I have no idea which towns I should connect. Decisions, decisions…

First train is out and working. I’ve connected North Las Vegas (which already has well prospering bus connections within the 5-town ring) with Berkley. Both towns got a shuttle line connecting Train Stations to residential/commercial areas. (3 buses each – around 2 min turnover).

Train line total cost – around 900K (the train alone was 470K). It’s still bringing some losses, but I’m certain that it will start paying for itself properly within next 2-3 years. (Considering doubling up with extra tracks and another train).

Losses on one of the bus routes are a result of vehicle replacements. Has to be done.

Also repaid another 500K to the bank.
