Hello,
You can press ALT+Return to switch between full screen and windowed mode. Switching back and forth should restore the proper resolution.

adminKeymasterMit ALT+Return kannst Du das Spiel in den Fenstermodus setzen. Drücke das erneut, und die richtige Auflösung im Vollbild-Modus wird wiederhergestellt!
adminKeymasterHi!
Can you please describe, what exactly the issue is?
Thank you!
TomadminKeymasterHi Aidain!
Do you use any mods? If so, please try to deactivate or uninstall them. Also, if you made any changes to the settings or configuration files, it would be worth a try reverting them. If you use Steam you can just delete any altered files and verify then game cache integrity via the games properties in Steam to restore them.
Best Regards
TomadminKeymasterHello!
Can you tell us with graphics card and operating system you exactly use?
If you use a system with a dedicated and an intergraded graphics card (for example a laptop), please make sure Train Fever is started with the dedicated card (AMD or Nvidia).
Best Regards

TomadminKeymasterHi!
Have a look at the release hints:
http://www.train-fever.com/forums/topic/release-hints/There you can see how the folder structure should look like. You can also download an example and just try to replace the png in the example with your own.
Let me know if that helped.
Best Regards,

TomadminKeymasterHallo!
Die einfachste Lösung ist das Spiel per ALT+Return in den Fenstermodus zu versetzen und anschließend noch per ALT+Return wieder in den Vollbildmodus. Das stellt die korrekte Auflösung wieder her.
Was das andere Problem angeht, schau doch bitte mal Punkt 4. in den “Most Common Issues” an:
