Will there be female characters to embody in Train Fever? It sucks to be forced to play a male character. I’m aware there weren’t many female tycoons at the time (if at all), but it’d be awesome if you could still think about your female players out there 🙂
I think there should be female characters. Since the game could be played by young and old. Male or female. It should not be a big deal for the developers to put it in at some time during development or after release. Even do it will not impact the game that much.
I bump this, as my wife just asked the same. I preordered one copy for her too and I doubt she will be eager to play an old smelly male from 1850. So please offer female characters as well! 🙂
To stay on this topic , could one of the beta testers tell us more about the “skill” system, related to the character you choose ?
If it was implemented in the beta, how it works …

I don’t know anything about those, only 2 things:
1) tom.io, the guy who made the first video about the game said that won’t make the final game. No characters anymore. http://www.reddit.com/r/trainfever/comments/2cmczx/train_fever_preview_checkliste_beta_gameplay/
2) The TF webpage with those characters have being removed.
