ParticipantHi,
I have some troubles to understand the distances vs time managing.
Exercise :
I have a train which left town A on march, 1st. He reach town B on July 27. Its speed is 45 km/h. What is the distance between A and B ?
Answer:
The train reach town B in 159 days (31 march)+30 (april)+31 (may)+30 (june)+27 (july)) or 3816 hours.
45 km/h during 3816 hours : 171 720 kilometers !
I think that reality is far away.

ParticipantTime is compressed versus animation speed, so working out the distance this way would never be realistic.
Its a game after all, having it realtime would be a little ridiculous, but if you factor this in, then you should be able to calculate it.However, it has been mentioned before that many think the compressed time is a little too much and could do with being tweaked or an option added to control this, so rather than an in game day taking ~3 seconds (Not in front of it at the moment so a guess) that an ingame day should maybe take 4x this or even 10x this, or adjustable.

ParticipantThe distance in the game are true measurements.
So you can use the Data-sheet from the train where you have your “Takt” so that you can calculate the speed and travel time.
Also you have the income divided with passengers to calculate the true distance.November 6, 2014 at 03:34 #13046crossmr

Game is a game so it is to be expected that values are scalled so they would fit the game needs.
