Cool thanks!
In that case, except for the texturing part and creating bogeys, i’ll be having 20+ trains ready for the last finishes touches!

August 28, 2014 at 14:11 #3766Jonathan078NLParticipantI love your work SpoorObjecten, I hope you will be able to make all those iconic dutch N.S. trains like Hondekop, Sprinter, Koplopers, NS IRM, NS DDZ, NS DD-AR, NS Mat 64, ‘Blokkendoos’ etc. Maybe it’s also nice to make the newer models like the NS SLT and Stadler GTW. š
Also some nice looking iconicĀ loc’s like theĀ NS 1000, NS 1100, NS 1200,Ā NS 1300, NS 1600/NS 1700,Ā NS 2200, NS 6400, NS Baureihe 186 etc.

August 28, 2014 at 21:47 #3786Jonathan078NLParticipantThere are some german people allready running mods on Train Fever beta; A running ICE train for example. take a look at this thread and video.
This websiteĀ seem to beĀ ahead in modding then we are on this forum, don’t take me wrong. It’s in german though http://www.train-fever.net. Maybe we can collaborate with these guys, it can make things alot easier then finding out everything by ourselves.
August 29, 2014 at 21:42 #3844SkiweeParticipantHey everyone I got a question regarding LOD will the modding/import tool do the LOD model’s it self or will I have to dumb down the .obj my self?
Also I study’d the concept art for how detailed I should make my models and would like a little input if I haven’t taken it too far with the cooling-fans (current version has 12517 faces), still need to add couplers). In the End-user version I want the cooling fans to spin at a constant rate. Also ignore the texturing I want it to look as if it was made by the game artists to keep it in spirit of the game. If any Beta-player has seen a trainĀ with cooling fans could you post a picture please? (excluding the “NoHAB AA 12”) Ā Train is a New Zealand DL class in case you where wondering.

I agree, but we need to have an option to choose between German & the English language, otherwise it won’t be any help. A lot of German websites do give you the option to choose English.
August 30, 2014 at 15:38 #3884Jonathan078NLParticipantYou can start topic’s in english on train-fever.net, they can and are willing to answer in english aswell.
November 4, 2014 at 00:31 #12954niefe9181ParticipantFrankly speaking, Iām not in the stride of 3D designing, so I ask help from my brother whose talent is exceptional when it comes to schematics, CAD and templates. I demand him to give me unique train designs. We did the whole process for a week. I used mix of 1.75mm ABS Filament Black and Dark Green – for a camouflage effect. Unfortunately, I have no photos to share. Maybe next time Iāll post some when Iām finished with the latest model.
