Crash when i try to create a game

Whenever I try and create a game the game crash to desktop just after loading. I’ve just bought the game and it had that problem from the start. Properly not hardware because it’s strong enough to run big games.

my game is randomly crashing, i am sure it has to do with my graphics card, as i am using a surface pro 4. My drivers are updated. I can play many other games like EU, CIV and Cities Skylines. I believe it is my graphics card as the game will pause when I move around, then crash. sometimes i can play for 30 mins before it happens, but it will eventually happen.

I would appreciate any advice you have.

also, i cant seem to load any saved games.

Game crashes between loading and layout display

Have played 250 hours total, game was crashing frequently during game play, Very Annoying. Now when you load a saved game or start a new one, it loads to 100% then before the layout displays, it says Train Fever exe has stopped working.

Train fever freezes

I am using Train fever few days (Build 5798 from GOG Games) with Windows 8.1 64 bit. It was very reliable until I got the idea to stress it with 500+ cars in a big circle (using the mod “no_costs”). This works over several hours with no problems but then the screen freezes for more than 5 minutes and I had to cancel Train fever with the Task manager.

This is acceptable for me, as long as I can use the saved games and restart again. Unfortunately the last saved version also freeze after some month.

But the worst: Now even a new game without any mod freezes after some months even in 1850. Is there a chance to “repair” this or must I new install the game? Must I save all my data/saved games?

Crashing upon making a new world

So I just bought train fever because I have been watching videos and saving up for it. Now that I have got it. I am disappointed to learn that whenever I hit new world, it loads to 100% but it goes black, music changes to in-game music, then crashes. No error messages or anything. It just crashes. I am using a laptop. Intel HD Graphics 4000. Intel Core i5. I don’t know all the specs so If you have info that can help me or you need to know more my steam ID is: ItsCentury. random crashes since last update

Hello,

I am experiencing freezes with Train Fever that occur randomly about 5 to 10 minutes after I load the game. The result is that I have to close the programm because it does not respond.

I play on Windows 8.1 64bit, video driver was the newest stabile driver and now is the latest beta driver from AMD (which didn’t change anything for my problem)

No mods installed and the only change I did was to edit the base_config.lua to have fewer towns and industry. I tried a game without these changes though and it still crashed.

When I start a new game, it can work for hours.

As the game advances, it keeps on crashing over and over. anything you can suggest? any info that you need me to provide to try and solve it?

Hi all,

since I am still waiting for a reply in the official steam support forums (for 4 days now!), I wanted to try it here. I find it rather sad that I had to register in yet another forum to (hopefully) get any support from the devs, a simple ticketing system for support would be much easier and professional.

Bug – new game launch

I recently installed a vanilla version on a new PC. No changes have been made, the game is completely vanilla.

Now, when I try to start a new game, the game crashes after I clicked start. I get the following error message:

File: res/models/model/station/road/cargo_medium_new.mdl
This file contains malformed UTF-8 byte sequences. Thats probalby because it was saved with a different encoding. Please convert it to UTF-8 using your favorite text editor.
”
Since this is a fresh, clean install from Steam, I have no idea where the problem lies. Seems the install is faulty.
Please fix Train Fever team.

PS: I realise this is a known issue, but the fix stated in the previous post (i.e. patched) is not true, game was only downloaded a couple of days ago, the fix supposedly occured on the 27th of March.

Not able to play Train Fever

I just bought Train Fever today.

I was very disappointed when I realized that the game crashed EVERYTIME I tried to start a new game. My computer should be able to play this game, and my graphics is more than enough. I restarted my computer several times, but nothing seems too work. As soon as I have chosen how my new game should be and want to move on to the game – it craches. I’ve tried to set the graphics in the game at low – but that doesn’t work at all!!!

Please help – because otherwise I’ve just the cat in the bag

I feel like I’ve just wasted 24,99 Euro – And if this doesn’t get solved quite quickly I’m never gonna buy anything from this company again… and my recommandations are gonna show how disappointing this “game” is.

NB! I’ve read your section about common issus with the game – Didn’t help!
