ParticipantNope, there isn’t even one model out yet but there is work in progress. You can allready find 2 nice NS train re-skins en 2 nice Connexxion bus skins at http://www.train-fever.net

Participant@Jonathan078NL, Do you have a higher resolution of that picture with the LOC 6400 & the freight cars? I’m thinking of modeling that train including the train carts.

ParticipantHey DrimeNL,
Good to hear you’re thinking about modelling, I will try to look some up for you but I can’t promise anything, they’re pretty hard to find.

I hope you will make it in NS skin, oddcourse 😛 but DB is nice too. Wish some Train Simulator modders could help us out, they actually allready made all models, they just need to implement them into Train Fever 🙁

They are actually used for small model trains, but I think they come very close to real blueprints.

ParticipantI think this NS Class 6400 is one of my favourite NS loc’s, truly glad you’re making this!!!
September 20, 2014 at 19:32 #9467DrimeNL
ParticipantIt’s my favorite one too! Got it working in the game, need to play around with the wheels a bit and then finalize the texture. Not sure yet if i’m modeling the windows because of the poly-count.

ParticipantWe need windows to see, outerwise we get accidents 😉 How much poly is it now?, don’t worry to much about the poly-count. Take a look at the models here, I suggest you also register. You can find alot of info and I’m sure other modders can help you out with that: http://www.train-fever.net
Great job allready, keep it going. Can’t wait for the final product!

ParticipantWhat do you guys think? I guess i;ll release it soon, need to work a bit on the textures still but could put up a beta release…
September 25, 2014 at 09:22 #9888Florius
ParticipantLooks neath, hope you can add some more details to it!
September 25, 2014 at 19:18 #9972Jonathan078NL
ParticipantHey Drime,
You’re 90% there, very great job! Try adding some last details indeed like the voltage sign next to the nr. 6400 and on the front for example. Also some square textures on front and maybe some air vents if it’s not asked to much offcourse. I believe there should be an (or multiple) circular air ventilator somewhere on top too. It’s allready looking awesome, I really appreciate your work. Keep it going, you’re doing great!

ParticipantThis is ask too much, but this is a perfect example of a modelled NS 6400 (by Christrains) here you can see the ventilator that I meant and maybe you can use this to add some little more detail:
Remember It’s your loc, you decide when it’s ready or not.

here another great example:
http://www.amazingmike.nl/img/payware/TRS-NS6400.jpg
You also see the squared texture on front (and back offcourse)? It’s a small detail that changes much, just like the squares on the sides of the cabin, they don’t draw much attention but they significantly complete the model in detail.
