    1+ for Steam Workshop.

When users subscribe to a mod, any updates to that mod are automatically made. This improves the mod base as people usually do not keep up with mod updates after they have a huge collection. Plus users of all languages can enjoy mods made from around the world from fan sites they may never see. Steam Workshop is a powerful tool and should be taken advantage of.

I see the Normal was added to the files, so maybe everyone might want to update their files on this one. Very nice model, thanks again for all the fantastic work Alex !! 😀

I realize that I make many game mods and am making them for this game.

What I am referring to is the in-game menu. In the later years, many newer models were active in the train and car list. When it would open, the game would lag terribly. So when I mention active game content that is what I am referring to…and yes the Dev’s would have an answer for this as they most likely have tons of new and other test models in their game files.

The game needs to be able to handle loading such levels of engines and or cars, or making tons of mods is useless.

For “even-spacing” I just make several signal blocks along a given route. I have had long routes around mountains where I might want five or more trains running to keep the flow through the stations. The blocks control my spacing.

Like this route…this is when I first turned it up but I think I had six running on this route.

I has some of the same issues.

Then one day I started making just point to point stops only…no more full-loops. It seems they like to work and come home to and from a neighboring city, they don’t want to travel across the map to the fourth or fifth stop in a loop…nope just next door then back home.

So even if I make a full loop, I have started running back and forth routes with three trains per…my money doubled.

In Trainz I run over 340gig of content. I can open a list inside the editor and the menu “Loads” it all for me to select.

In TrainFever I had 16gig all turned up. After the reload and refit it now runs smooth.

Sure, each of the mod managers have backup folders…easiest way is just to remove the res folder, let Steam replace whatever files. You are good as new. I saved all the compressed files I have anyway.

My question was how many mods can be active at any given time as it may cause the game to become unstable if it has to load too much new content and manage it all at once. It may not be an issue not sure.

Mods are fine. I simply re-loaded and activated what ones are my favorites. I needed to have a clean slate to make a start point for TFGM. I had started using the game manager after I had several mods installed, so I never set it up correctly.

I’ve been wondering that very thing myself Martin.

I group tram stations/stops that are right next to train stations…thus making the large tram station parked at the train station’s entrance the same stop. Not sure what the advantage is of doing that, if the two are un-grouped they work the same.  Only reason I keep doing it is because I saw someone in a German video doing it. LoL So I would love to know the scoop on the grouping as well.

I exclusively use trams in my cities, I have made a few bus routes but those are between cities. I have always made my first monies from trams…I have no issues like that mine run fine and are full all the time.

Now I should say I have never had any crashes…but on medium maps after connecting five cities the game starts to stagger a tad.

So far I have tested them all with the TFGM and they work great.

I love their Russian models. Thanks for keeping us up to date Alex. Is there any way they can fill out the images and info that shows up in the train fever game manager? I guess they don’t use that one, but having the developer info with image and version number in the manager sure helps out a ton.

    Thanks again…

It would be cool to be able to “adjust” the timer for the game.  Right now it takes a month, sometimes longer for the residents to ride from one town to another due to the fact the timer runs so fast. If the said timer was set way out, it might take an actual 24 hours for one day to go by. That would “freeze” the game long enough for it to creep through the days, months, years.
