BloodbunnyParticipant
If you’ve ever played Kerbal Space Program, you’ll know this is not an uncommon thing, updates break mods and save games. If you don’t want to lose your old stuff, try this: Copy the entire Train Fever folder to somewhere else on your hard drive. Then just launch the game via the in folder .exe, not Steam. That way you can have the updated version with DLC, and your old saves if you want to play them.
BloodbunnyParticipantTwo videos, one of which unveils a brand new train, and barely any replies… What an oddity Train Fever is: it just can’t seem to take hold outside of Deutschland.
BloodbunnyParticipantI agree, it makes it too easy to keep cities supplied, and discourages long freight trains. I say, fewer industries, and longer allowed delivery time for cargo.
BloodbunnyParticipantAwesome, I am stoked for this DLC now. I can’t wait to see what the devs have cooked up too. I really want to see an E7 or similar.
BloodbunnyParticipantGTFO then… The number of times this game has crashed for me (legit crashes, not ones caused by a misplaced symbol in a mdl file), I can count on one hand. It runs smooth as butter on full settings up to around 2000, then I have to dial back the graphics a bit, which is fine. This is one of the most fun games I’ve played since Kerbal Space Program, and its about to get free DLC. Bitching about doors opening on both sides? Really?…GTFO..just GTFO…
BloodbunnyParticipantYes, they are just background eye candy, as I mentioned. But part of the fun of this game (for me at least) is sometimes not worrying about how profitable X line is, or replacing Y vehicle, but just zooming way in, with some good era specific music playing, and watching the people go about their business, or use follow cam on one of my trains. Most mods are “eye candy” if you think about it, only stuff like Cargo Mod, etc, fundamentally change the game. We have modded trucks, buses, all manner of locomotives, etc; its time for a few cars.
