Yepp, it’s not a bug, it’s just the way the game is made. I usually wait for the recent train to pick up maximum before upgrading.
But don’t worry, your cargo or passsengers aren’t going anywhere – if you’ll wait a couple of minutes you’ll see that they are coming back, creating quite a crowd! 🙂
Once I’ve upgraded a station with about 100 passengers on it, but after a few minutes I saw a “wave” of passengers bigger than usual coming to a station, doubling its load. Then it wend back to normal.- This reply was modified 9 years, 4 months ago by Mike.

I can’t neither build stations nor lay tracks where I want them to be – this Main Connection stuff is a real deal-braker!
DEVs, WHERE ARE YOU???MikeParticipantYeah, I’ve noticed that too, but one-click workaround bothers me much less than the Main Connection disaster for example…

MikeParticipantYepp I had exactly the same problem – TFV was for no reason slowing down to 180 kmh and then slowly get back to normal.
In my case, I had 4 tracks lying together, 2 for local traffic and 2 for high speeds. And the slowing occured in 1 direction only! I’ve tried to rebuild the track, no change. Then I’ve completely rebuild the whole big section (1-2 km) of the high speed line, both tracks, and also separated them from the local lines tracks (about 1 track width distance), and it worked!I also had the same situation later in another savegame, and the problem also resolved by rebuilding a 1-2 km section of BOTH tracks.
Hope this helps!
MikeParticipantJust check the tutorial.
I’m pretty sure all your problems will solve if you’ll follow these two basic rules:
– never set “Wait for full load” in any cargo lines
– always make sure the goods can reach the destination which has demand for themCheers!
MikeParticipantYoopieee!!! 🙂 🙂

😀
MikeParticipantLook at the mod portal http://www.train-fever.net/, there’s lotsa stuff there 🙂
MikeParticipantHe he yeah, we still have hope 🙂
MikeParticipantIf you’re on Steam, delete all local files and re-download the game.
Helped me once with MaxPayne..MikeParticipantDid you modded something related to cargo recently? Seems to me like a required parameter (numCargoTypes) is missing in one of the models.
I always back up the complete game folder before any modding..MikeParticipantYepp, even a CEO has sometimes fun walking down the tracks and checking things up.
So put on your gloves, take the electrification tool, go down there and examine every inch of your track 😀It’s not a bug, just a kind of implementation that requires lotsa manual work 🙂 As for me personally, I have fun from it 🙂

But we should be protected against the screw-ups like the last update, we should be given a choice to rollback an update.
They are now drinking beers and perhaps even totally unaware of the bomb they released.
I wanted to drink beer too, damn it, while lying rail tracks in TF!!! 🙁MikeParticipantCome on guys, it will be impossible to simulate on a scale 1:1, especially for transport simulation. Because in this case the speed of time will have to be linked to the speed of trains, and man, you’ll have to wait 1 hour and 25 minutes to bring the train from Brussels to Paris. You’ll be bored within minutes, starting to accelerate time, and believe me, you’ll consider current speed and scale quite efficient.
However the current flow of time could be slowed down 5-10 times, it’s really too fast indeed. -
