In fact we double checked if everything was submitted to MGS correctly after reading this post (turns out: yes, it was! ;))
With MGS unfortunately it can just take some time until they implement updates.
adminKeymasterPlease send us your log files via email: info (at) train-fever.com
You can find them depending on your Steam installation here:
\userdata\ \304730\local\ The crash logs are located in the crash_dump folder and consist of 3 important files: the stderr.txt, the stdout.txt and if Train Fever crashed at least one file ending with .dmp.
Best regards,
Tom
adminKeymasterWell, that is dedication, thank you!
And give our best regards to your girlfriend anyway. Sorry for keeping you at the PC all the time! 😉
adminKeymasterYeol, to be more direct: It is true I´m still keeping a list of possible improvements for Train Fever. But unfortunately it is not my decision if there will be (and if yes, when) another patch. So I just can´t make any promises.
I play a lot of Train Fever myself (obviously?!) and I occasionally run into this problem too, but I was always able to solve it somehow. Mostly by avoiding too terminal stations with too many lines as departing trains will often block arriving trains. I think ErstO does the same?
Btw: My playstyle is also to pack as many lines on as little as tracks as possible 😉
I would be very interested to see an example, why and how train bunch up in your case! This would help to avoid this in the future. Maybe you want to show us some screenshots or even provide a savegame?
adminKeymasterHi Rob!
Yes that helps. But I´m sorry to tell you that Train Fever will probably not run on this configuration.
From what I see your CPU ships with an Intel HD 2000 graphics chip, which is below the required minimum specifications.
The game suggest to you update the drivers, because in some cases older GPUs can be enabled to support newer OpenGL versions with a driver update. But to my best knowledge Intel HD 2000 only supports up to OpenGL 3.1 with the newest driver, where 3.2 is needed to run the game.
Best regards,
TomadminKeymasterHello!
Please tell some more details about the situation. Where do you try to download it? And what are your hardware specifications (CPU, graphics card, operating system, …)
Best regards
TomadminKeymasterHi Yeol!
Thank you for your feedback! As we are currently working on a new game and we are constantly looking for input on what to improve. More fluent traffic on the tracks is one of the things we want to improve!
Best regards,
TomadminKeymasterThanks for reporting that issue!
Best regards,
TomadminKeymasterHi!
Sorry your message got overlooked. Can you provide some screenshots of the situation?
Maybe you want to send us an email: info (at) train-fever.com
Best regards
TomadminKeymasterWe are currently very busy preparing everything for the announcement! 🙂
adminKeymasterHello!
I suspect the problem is elsewhere. The settings.lua is created by the game after the first (successful) start, so it is normal for it to not be there after a fresh install.
If you want to give it a try anyway, feel free to contact us via email and I can send you the file. If that does not help, we will of course try to investigate the problem further. First of all, please tell us (or enclose) the specifications about your hardware (CPU, graphics cards, operating system, ..)
Please find the address in the “About / Urban Games” section!
Best regards,
TomMarch 1, 2016 at 09:34 in reply to: Please explain the new to attenuate late game town growth system #21381adminKeymasterHello eek!
The exponent determines, how the town grows after reaching 500 inhabitants. I can´t tell you the exact formula, but a value below 1.0 causes the growth to flatten out, but it will not cause decay.
The decay, which is sometimes observed in old save games, is caused by the shift of the goal, to which the city wants to grow toward. If, due to the new formula and other adjustments we made, the goal is below the current city size, a decay may occur.

adminKeymasterHello!
A quick follow up: Can you please try to set your textures to “high” in the graphic options and let my know if that changed anything?
Best regards,
