pschlikParticipant
Well, we aren’t allowed to say anything specific, but it is fun! ๐
pschlikParticipantToo bad I have to work all day tomorrow
Same here ๐ except that I’m working at my school and only until noon, but my work starts right as the beta starts.
pschlikParticipantThat’s an interesting system, but it sounds simple enough to work with. It’s nice to see that you guys already have a plan for handling modding. ๐
pschlikParticipantI just got the email! Phew, at least they have my correct email.
pschlikParticipantAll participants that wrote to our beta e-mail address got a response mail. It could be possible that some of the mails are in your junk mail folder or got some misspelling in the address. If you checked your junk mail and still canโt find anything, you can write us again to get your confirmation.
I replied directly to the email that was sent to me earlier, and I recently resent all of my information in a separate email, but still nothing, not even in my junk/spam folder.
pschlikParticipantHas anyone received a response to the beta test rules agreement emails youโve sent yet?
I’ve still got nothing here ๐
pschlikParticipantSeptember 1st will be the day the mod is released finished or not.
Hopefully that can happen, it will be kind of hard to test models without having access to the game for the entirety of August.
pschlikParticipantHey, has anybody been e-mailed back after sending “Yes, I accept the rules.” and their PC specs?
I replied directly from the e-mail, right after I got it, too, but I have not heard back yet…
Also, I doubt that release date is real… I don’t think they would need more than a month after the beta to finish up.
pschlikParticipantFor a start, that’s a very nice and focused list. It’s enough stuff to be playable, while letting people be more focused on actually finishing the version than just doing random locomotives they happen to like. ย ๐
jm764, when will you have a google document or some other place ready to compile research? Granted, nobody will know what needs to be researched until the beta, but it would be good to get that up before the beta.
pschlikParticipantWell Iโm going to do both, but I tend to keep a spare offline copy on hand just in case something happens.
Ok, that should work out well.
pschlikParticipantexcept the wiki would be simplified to a word doc due to the fact I wonโt really have time to keep up with the wiki updates due to work.
Ok, but I do recommend google docs if you want to do a plain document since it’s easier to get the document around if it’s on docs and everybody will always see the up-to-date version.
pschlikParticipantNice work SpoorObjecten, I’d love to be able to print my own train set, but I’m not willing to have somebody else make one for me.
By the way, jm746, how do you plan to organize research anybody involved in the mod pack does? I was thinking that a wiki page with a list of locomotives, each with their own page and research information required to make the model/script the model for that locomotive could work to organize everything. Then, as locomotives are completed and approved, they could be moved to a “completed locomotives” list. For future reference. That’s just my idea, but if you have an idea, that’s fine, I was just curious. ๐
pschlikParticipantIf I had to choose, I’d say freight, but passenger locomotives are no problem to me.
pschlikParticipantI could do research mostly on diesels and potentially electrics, but steam locomotives are a bit beyond me.
pschlikParticipantI’d love to help since I care so much about this topic. I’m not a modeler or a programmer, but I’d like to learn Train Fever programming. As of now, though, I could definitely help with research and train skins.
