Hello Mikael,
Is the dutch language (Niederländische Sprache) also considered? Btw good work on the game, congratulations to the whole dev team. It’s looking great from all the movies I saw on YouTube. Can’t wait to play my steam pre-order.

Actually the ingame version should be renamed to Class 146 or give them it’s official factory name TRAXX P160. But then again it could just be an option to let the supplier Bombardier install it yes or no. The names of the locomotives in game are all German/Swiss based, which is logical (game is from Switzerland) and fine by me.

The name Class 185 is based on the german version, the DB Class 185:
Don’t know if Switzerland also have these, I suppose so. They are problably called Class 185 too.
The funny thing is, I couldn’t find any picture of the DB class 185 with a display :P, I know that there are versions with it, maybe it’s only on newer models. Well I let it rest, all those names got me confused.

Thank you very much for the screenshot, indeed some TRAXX’s have a led display on top of the windshield. I think it’s optional and not related to other versions. But it’s a possible offcourse. Class 146 in Germany indeed have these displays, it’s used for passenger/station information. So you could conclude that these models are optimized for passenger cargo.
Maybe I’ll repaint it with a NS livery :P. Does the train has it’s real name or is it fictional ingame?

Jonathan078NLParticipantI saw a german video like a week ago where some modders allready were experimenting with more industries, the mod was working allready in the beta. The industrie buildings were just duplicates from existing ones, but they managed to create some extra working industrie chains.
Can’t remember exactly what kinda industries. Thought 1 of them was plastic production out of oil. Plastic could be used to produce household products etc. I think the modding community will expand this game alot. I also trust the devs will give long support. We’ll have to wait and see.
Jonathan078NLParticipantThank you Xtender for the changenotes!, keep them coming.
Jonathan078NLParticipantI really hope they will double those industry chains. 4 is indeed too few!

Could one of the betatesters confirm that there is a TRAXX looking engine allready in Train Fever, the silver one?
From the vid’s I saw this silver looking in-game engine really looks simular to the Bombardier TRAXX. If this is the case we could make some skins for it! (which is easier I guess then modelling a whole new loc)
Jonathan078NLParticipantThanks SpoorObjecten,
How is it going with your modelling? Very curious, hoping there will be atleast some dutch trains for Train Fever.
About 2-3 weeks ago the first NS Bombardier TRAXX F140 MS2 loc was released for the dutch railways, we actually allready had these in the Netherlands, those were leased. Now NS ordered 19 of them in NS livery :D, I think this loc is allready in TF, maybe we can apply a re-texture and look like this: 😛

Jonathan078NLParticipantIf the devs work it out alright, then I’d certainly like to welcome planes and ships.
– Ships shouldn’t be a big problem of influence to the game, though they will need to make the standard rivers broader then they now are imo.
– I can understand that people are a holding back to the idea of adding planes, this will influence the game far more then ships. The whole economy will need to be rebalanced. Also the map sizes are a discussion if they are suited/big enough to carry planes.
– The main focus is and must be trains, I actually would like to see far more train engines and mod packs. I personally hope to see a dutch NS trainset which you also had for oTTD and Locomotion.
Still I would like to welcome planes and boats, aslong as the devs do it right. Planes felt a bit like cheating in Transport Tycoon to me.
Jonathan078NLParticipantWell it’s actually kinda realistic that 1 loco can pull so much wagons on it’s own without any trouble. What the devs could do is slightly increase the accelaration whenever an extra loco is attached to the train, this way you will get that satisfaction you seek for adding multiple engines.

Jonathan078NLParticipantThis is the vid (more then 2 hours!) made by JM764, he shows a double steam loco on a long oil train. It was just for testing, nothing serious 😛 I think somewhere around 0.45 min.

Jonathan078NLParticipantHey there,
Can anybody list some significant changes of the latest Beta version 4136? Thanks in advance.
September 1, 2014 at 00:34 in reply to: For those who just like to appreciate the world around #3957Jonathan078NLParticipantVery nice vid Douglas, really nice and realistic looking rail network you got there.
Jonathan078NLParticipantGood to see they working on it, then again it’s a beta so I understand it’s not done yet. though the release is pretty soon so. I would also liked to see a more animated road to rail passing (with a moving pole etc.) The signal X (which says there’s a rail juncion on the road) also needs a 90 degree turn as far as I know.
