    @simonmd

    I’ve had the Balance mod installed since last week, yeah it does help alot. Makes TF alot more playable.

    The balance mod seems pretty buggy though.  No charge for electrication of tracks, Electric trains run on tracks that are not electrified. Is this a feature?

    Upgrading tacks to high speed is very expensive … I don’t mind this though.

    The biggest peice of advice I can offer anyone starting this game is to choose an industry in the middle of 4 or 5 towns then feed them all with goods from that one industry.

    Thanks for your help

    Just tried again failed. Mixed trains is no no most of the time, the exception is coal ore steelmill. Then connect the steelmill via road to a town or a seperate rail link which is expensive.  You have to seperate the routes. The cost of the trains compared to income they generate is a joke. If you turn on the cargo and watch the cargo blocks why do they sod off down the road when there is a rail link? Do you find yourself deleting bits road to try and force the cargo on to the station? I do.

    What I find I am doing is this: Building lots of little truck routes to generate enough income to cover to loses generated by the rail links.

    I am not saying this is a bad game but theirs something wrong with the game balance. YMMV

    @medopu

    Your wrong.

    Try this one simple rail route

    oil well —- > oil refinary  –> town

    <—————————————

    The train 8 oil tankers & 6 goods wagons… no lorries just one train

    It dosn’t work. Thats as basic as this game gets. You will be bankrupt pretty quick.

    When you have train capable of carrying 50 barrels of oil and all it picks up is 2 every run it kind makes me sad.

    Ok you can use lorries which fixes stuff .. but I dont want to use lorries on long runs. Short runs fine.

    Yeah too many issues with it for me too.  Buggy industries some produce some don’t … duno why.  Cant have long industrial connections or mixed.  Cant have 2 oil wells supplying one refinary… It just doesn’t work .. I have no understanding of how the signals work. the monetry system in this game blows chunks so much..
    Connecting town with passenger trains is a fast track to ruin. Why don’t towns people use the trains?… still can’t place roads on tracks..  No auto renew of all vehicles.  I don’t really care to much about animated crossings n all .. I just want the bugs fixed.

    Game is playable but not enjoyable. Just becomes annoying.

    Yes for the truck picking up goods. The other trucks are on another lines delivering ore and coal I think it was.

    I think there’s a lot missing from this game, is it a beta? or alpha?. .. and tbh I am fairly disappointed .. If I know it was built on Lua I would of give it a wide berth, but anyway you got my money and theirs little chance of a refund from steam.

    The game feels clunky as hell. The track laying thing is fairly annoying to say the least. When I started the game I selected terrian to be flat but it wasn’t.Transporting  cargo seems to be hit and miss .. I duno why the trucks arn’t picking up oil etc .. maybe because its not an oil tanker? .. no warnings etc.. only one type of cargo truck ..

    I was expecting a much better game playing experience.

    Keep up the good work, I just think this game was not ready for release.
