ParticipantNow that the NDA is finished , could one of the beta tester tells me about the map size ?
What is it like, when you choose the bigger available ? How many tows ? In the different video on youtube , it seems they always choose a small map. Would love to see a huge one in action.
Thanks

ParticipantIn fact, the Team is based in Switzerland.

Participantif i understood it well , it’s sandbox with goals to achieve from time to time.
I think i read that somewhere in the forum ….
no career mode , as seen in railroad tycoon’s.

ParticipantJust bought my copy too !!

Participantif i’m not wrong , i’ve seen 25€ .

ParticipantAt this point , nothing will stop me from buying Train Fever as soon as it’s out.
Like you say, in RRT2 there already were map of big size , but representing only one state or country…
As far as i can build railroads , i’ll be happy 🙂

ParticipantIt’s not about magic, douglas … you’re talking map size when I talk “Scale” of the map.
Maybe the map is huge , as you say.
huge , but a 16km x 16km square.
I’m talking about building a railroad empire !
I just think Train Fever is more building a town and it’s suburban , than to link the two coast of the U.S.A , as in RRT2 …. but that’s fine , i’m not telling it’s bad , it’s just different of what i thought ….

ParticipantAnyone to tell us a little more than “this game rocks” ? 🙂
No offense , i’m really happy to know that it rocks !!!

ParticipantThe only concern i have about train fever is the map size.
i understand it will be a 16km x 16km square map , but my question is : how many towns could fit in such a map ?
It seems too small for me. Well , i’m a big fan of the railroad tycoon series , and i’m afraid such a map size won’t allow me to build as much railways as i want.
I understand the game is much more about developing cities. More a Cities in Motion than a Railroad Tycoon . Am i right ?
I only hope we can, in the future , have bigger maps , maybe an option , only for high end PC’s.
This really is the only question i still have about the game , every other things seems fine to me.

ParticipantIf for whatever reasons , some “lucky ones” can’t do the beta , be sure some of us can do the job , even if we were amongst the”unlucky ones” .
In other words , mikael , if you have some room for testers , don’t hesitate to contact me , I’ll take no offense of not being selected the first time 🙂 I just can’t wait to put my hands on your game 🙂

ParticipantIf we believe amazon.de , there already is a release date :
4 September 2014 !
Hope it’ll be on steam at the same time because i’m not living in a German spoken country , which i believe are the only ones to get a Box release ?
Ar least we have a visual of the box, even if the date is not correct…

ParticipantWe (the Unlucky ones) are counting on you (the Lucky ones) to do serious game testing , Jm764 !!
Depending on the NDA , we also count on you to give us a “taste” of the game on this forum 🙂
Still can’t wait 🙂
it’s gonna be long until it’s out …

ParticipantI have got my mail !
Unfortunately , I’m not among the lucky ones …
So disappointed 🙁
Anyway , i hope the Beta will go well , so i can play Train Fever as soon as possible !
I can’t Wait !!
