Cargo and passengers try to find the quickest route to destination, so if your route is quicker than going on foot, then line will be used. Doesn’t mater how many mid stations you have. Time is calculated waiting time + travel time … so this means that midway station adds more waiting time ..
I think the total pay will be lower than a direct line because of longer delivery time.
Someone correct me if i’m wrong please

theurosParticipantthanx … I managed to solve it. I defined a line again to passenger train. Train reversed and got back to line .. and then I sent him again to depod.
Some other question…
1. How can I delete savegames? … is possible from the game .. if not .. where are stored on disk?
2. What is good frequency for trains and what for road veichles
3. is better to have more trains or more wagons if trainstations have a lot of passengers?

another question .. passengers will use your services if the travel time is not greater than 20min … What about “to get back” time ? … for example if you three stations A B C connected in one circular line .. so train goes A to B to C and then back to A .. Time from A to B is below 20min .. but time from B to A is greater to 20min ..
so…
passengers can get from A to B in time .. but not back .. is this taken into some logic calculation ?

What happens .. for example .. instead to go from A to B directly .. you create two middle stations … so you have two lines A – B and C – D … stations B and C are connected only with road .. what wil hapen with cargo ? .. will use line 1 .. then goes on foot to line 2 .. or this kind of lines are ignored ?
and… if there is need to first use road vehicles and then train … how close truck depot must be to train station? .. yea I know .. as closest as possible .. I’d like to know if there is an area of effect for two stations .. so pasenegers or cargo don’t loose any time to switch from road to train.. ?
theurosParticipantIf three lines with multiple trains goes to one station, trains should use any empty platforms if available…
And…. Train Fever and OpenTTD can be compared because are very similar…. OpenTTD offers you to build complex layouts and advanced signal management…. this is a feature used in real world .. OpenTTD .. but not in Train Fever yet..

I was afraid that Train Fever won’t surpass the OpenTTD in gameplay .. and this is one case.

What zones is more important to connect to the station which is connected to another city? … I mean .. each city has all zones… how can I know how many people actualy work in different city ?

theurosParticipantIf the planes/ships would be implemented like I suggested it.. this wouldn’t break any realism and shouldn’t be to hard to implement.

but…
You could build an International Airport which is connected to imaginary airports outside map… if you create a good transportation service from airport to residental/commercial zones then a lot of passengers will use it .. and a lot of tourist will come to it, which you need to transport around your land 🙂 … same is for ships. Make a transport from factories to shipyards and back ..
and also a lot of tourist would rather use slow tourist boat on some river than speed train… so you have another role for ships 🙂
This feature would be great also in the future if multiplayer is implemented, so you could trade with other players via ships and planes.
Something similar is implemented in cities xl… I don’t know for you .. but planes / ships would enrich gaming experience and give trains more stuff to do 🙂

I know that Train Fever doesn’t have Air / Water transport .. hopefully will be implemented sometime in the future…
I’m afraid that this game will be only eye candy without deep gameplay… If won’t surpass gameplay of OpenTTD then … i’ll be very sad.
anyway .. devs have my support .. I already bought the game on steam .. so hope for the best.
