Well, that is a strange thing as well.. Why would a cargo station only be able to hold cargo for nearly one truck? Doesn’t really make sense to me.
On the topic though, wouldn’t it be nice to also have the option make the trucks load until a certain percentage is reached? In conjunction with normal full load and a time limited full load, it would make it more versatile and easier to tailor the loading to your own plans and demands. Versatility FTW!
DolphParticipantNice! But honestly.. Wouldn’t you have made more profit using dualstox?
Been working hard to make the tgv profitable, but every line is always more profitable with dualstox.
DolphParticipantbtw.. full load is a trap and should very seldom be used
DolphParticipantIn short: Build a line from a factory producing ore, oil etc. to a factory that will recieve the cargo, and it will start producing.. slowly but surely. And just as important – build a line from the factory that recieves the cargo, to a city that has a demand for goods. It’s all about demand.
DolphParticipantThe first problem is probably due to the lower frequency of the train or perhaps the demand in the city you’re delivering to, is already satisfied. Have you tried grouping the station together? Beware that if you do so, all cargo at both stations will be lost. But it may be worth it.
Factories (the ones that produce goods) only expand if they are both recieving and delivering cargo, so in order to achieve factory growth you need to deliver cargo to them and then deliver what they produce to a city. Watch the city demand for goods. Start by only having one line delivering goods from a factory to a city, and when production won’t incrase no more, add another line to another city, and make sure that city has demand for it too. Also check the factorys demands.. need more resources? or need to deliver more goods?
Good luck to you! 🙂
DolphParticipantHej!
Maybe you could attach a save file so the devs can have a look at it?
DolphParticipantSeems strange then if you have similar setups working fine in other places. Personally, I usually have the goods producing factories connected to like four cities, which usually gets them up to 400 quite quickly. I’ve actually never done it the way you do it, leaving the goods untouched.. there’s money to make 🙂
Anyway, I’m out of ideas. Good luck to you! And please do tell if you find the culprit! 🙂
DolphParticipantmaybe you can charge extra for an “out of this world” experience 😉
DolphParticipantPerhaps it’s worth a try to build a truck line and transport the goods yourself into the city.. you seem to have the cash for it 🙂 As I said, maybe there is a limit to how much goods a factory will produce if it’s not connected to a line
DolphParticipantAre you shipping the goods from the steel mill yourself, or is that left to be done automatically? Maybe there is a limit to how much goods can be carried from an industry without a line shipping the goods?
DolphParticipantHave you tried clicking (when you add the stop to the line) the actual bus stop you want it to go to and not the icon? I’ve never had problems with buses going the wrong way if I do it that way.
DolphParticipantThe problem is severely worsened when John decides to park his car in the bus lane…
DolphParticipantI’m having huge problems with buses and trams. The cities (the ones I’m active in) in my game are all around 1500 population and there’s just no way I can make it work. The main problem is cars stopping in the middle of the road for no apparent reason, and before you ask, yes I am using bus lanes, but so are the cars and some of them just feel like standing there. So right now this game is mostly about converting roads back and forth to clear the jams.. Quite tiring
DolphParticipantI’ve had this happen too and as far as I could tell it seemed the some cars were set on making a U-turn in the middle of the street, but when they can’t they just won’t give up
DolphParticipantHi!
I solved it by first grouping the stations at the steel mill, then I added a station at the coal mine north of the iron mine and remade line 36 to: coal mine > iron mine > steel mill. It’s working fine at my end now. Good luck
