    @Pedro

PS:  if anyone needs a normal map, add me on steam(http://steamcommunity.com/id/PedroTakeshi/), i have MindTex

What is Mindtex? Is it a program I can get or do you have to make the normal map for us?

    Thanx

EDIT: Oh wait, I think you have to convert units. Sorry, it’s been a while since I’ve done it. If you can’t get it to work. reply back and I’ll figure out the correct way to do it. Like I said above, I know it works because I’ve done it many times when importing MSTS models.

I like working in inch/feet. Then I just do what I said and it’s in meters then.

In 3DS Max, if your unit scale is set to inches/feet and your model was made using it, just close out your model file, then change unit scale to meters, then reopen your model and don’t convert units. It should be at the proper scale then.

I know this works because I’ve done it before.

I think it’s being reported as a virus because the game calls home even with error reporting turned off. I’d like to know why the game needs to access the internet myself when I turned off error reporting. Seems fishy to me.

@ stubblychin – Thank you for explaining that. That’s what I read somewhere else and was starting to do that when I had problems.

I found out what I was doing wrong when the goods wouldn’t go onto a train. DOH! I used a passenger station instead of a cargo station. The trains went to the stations but the good wouldn’t go.

After I got that going, I still couldn’t get the far oilwell to produce. Is there a limit as to how far I can go for the raw material? Maybe it would start if I played it longer but I started a new one. I went Large-Flat-Hard-1900. I did a small map first to try the game.

I’d sure like to know what’s different with the difficulty settings. Does anyone know?

    Thanks

Stop what BS? I see the long coal trains and wonder how the coalmines are producing that much for you to get them full. So I’m obviously doing something wrong. But, what am I doing wrong. I followed the guide and it just ain’t working for me.

What difficulty game did you start with? Easy, medium or hard? I started with easy and I couldn’t get them to produce much at all. Surely not enough to fill an 8 car coal train.

If you’re looking for something like TTD or Locomotion, don’t waste your money. I’m sorry I did.

I wish I waited to see what they did about the complaints first because so far, I think the game is a flop

The travel needs of each citizen are simulated

I think that’s the main problem here. The game is called Train Fever and does not live up to it’s name. It depends more on the peoples needs than the towns need. Most of the towns I checked only need like 50 units of goods and that is fill rather quickly. And I just found out that good won’t deliver to the town on a train. I just setup both, trucks and a train to pretty damn close to the same spot and the goods WILL NOT go to the train but will go via trucks. So how in the world is this a train game. It’s looking less and less.

Also, if I am using my trains wrong, where is a manual telling me how to use them? The user made guide only say how to run track and make routes, mainly. There’s not much info on how the game works. Like what is the difference between the difficulty settings, easy, medium or hard? I played an easy game first, now I’m trying a hard one but have no idea what is harder about it.

if there is demand for big amounts of raw materials.

That’s the thing. IF, but there isn’t. The demand is so low that the industries don’t produce squat and using long trains is just for looks because they surely won’t be filled with cargo.

You did not yet reached the maximal growth. What size do you have in mind?

I’d like to see the towns getting 100,000 or even bigger and having the industries producing much, much more. This game is called Train Fever but the biggest train I got doing any good is a passenger train with 2 cars and not filling it up. So far it should be called Truck Fever because the trains don’t do squat and I’d like to be able to make some long trains with 20 or 30 cars and go for a good distance. Right now the routes are so short that all they take is one engine and maybe 2 cars and that’s it.

So where is the Train Fever? I’ve been playing it for 2 days now and am getting more disappointed by the day,

I’d also like to know what the difference in the difficulty settings are. What makes one harder than the other?

I only have Zonealarm installed and it tells me that TrainFever.exe is trying to access the internet. I’d like to know why myself and it might be why your virus scanner is saying it’s a virus.

It would be nice if they put out some info on their game and we didn’t have to depend on beta testers to create guides for someone’s game.

I just realized why I don’t see the cargos walking. I forgot I had to check the box to see them. DOH!! So atleast that wasn’t caused by the mods.

Have you tried this mod or the cost_mod? My game ran decent and loaded decent. I played a game and got to 1900. I went to bed and left it running to see what it would do. When I got up it was at 2186. It still ran and loaded decent.

I also had this installed on my second drive which is partitioned 4 ways so it was on my F drive and it ran fine.

I heard about these mods and tried them. I installed this Timeless_mod and the cost_mod and after that it took forever to load a savedgame or start a new game. And the game ran very slow in general. Really bad.

I ended up having to reinstall it a few times and then install it on my C drive before I noticed a change back to how it played before. It’s finally playing better now after like 2 hours of screwing with it after using these 2 mods.

Also, now I don’t see the cargos walking anywhere at all. Not even before or after they’re loaded.

I would be careful using them so what happened to me doesn’t happen to you.
