Here is another example of a viaduct, notice how wide the spacing between the pillars is compared to the road.
leewParticipantYep, I space out my signals to try and prevent train bunching, it works to a point but becomes difficult with complex networks when tracks are shared by multiple lines such as running passenger and freight trains on the same sections of track thus some way of forcing a train to wait at a station until x mins after the departure of the previous train would be very welcome.

leewParticipantleewParticipantBuilding a road over a railway is easy, drag a section of road across the track, roughly at right angles to the track and with the section of road about as long as the shortest station platform so that the railway line is in the middle of the road section. Now press the ‘M’ key a few times and the road should raise up and a bridge appear, now click the green tick, voila. If the bridge does not appear then you may need to make the piece of road longer.
leewParticipantyep, a flatten terrain tool would be very nice, as a workaround at the moment, if I want a flat area I will build lots of sections of train track next to each other (make sure to click the arrow and set it to level) and then bulldoze the tracks to leave a nice flat area.
leewParticipantyep, but to do so may cost millions. Some way to turn off snap to road would be nice. But what I do when trying to place a station is to build a little bit of road first and then attach the station to it

leewParticipantI have seen vehicles sinking into roads and hovering myself but nowhere near as much as what you show there.

If you don’t dig the banks then the second/third/fouth spans won’t build as you can’t build the abutments into the water. As others have said one should just be able to build a 4 track skew bridge without mucking about with digging and also the pillars should align with the flow of the river.
leewParticipantClick “settings” on main menu then click “controls” then turn off “invert panning”
leewParticipantIn England trains will often pass platforms going much faster than 120km/h, see here for an example of a train passing a platform at 200km/h. They even have a announcement to tell pax on that platform to stand back from the edge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGKa7y1Ulr4
leewParticipantThe station will build at the level where the mouse is (the station building), if you want the station lower then just use the lower land tool to make a hole where the station building goes and it will build lower.
leewParticipantI think the problem with that is what happens if the train does not complete the journey, for example you send it to a depot and scrap it or you switch it to a different line?
Although thinking about it, it would be more realistic if when you clicked the “send to depot” button, the train would carry on to it’s next station, unload all pax and then go to nearest depot.

leewParticipantI always save the game before building a new line, if I mess it up I can just re-load the game, however undo would be much better for me :).
leewParticipantI was wondering the same thing.
