I think he is trying to get a single production factory to supply all those cities?
LuewenParticipantI havent been managed to do that either.
LuewenParticipantStonelouse is most likely correct. Passengers are prolly waiting for train to opposite direction. if a station have same line going both directions the info only shows amount of passengers waiting, not the direction they are waiting for.
LuewenParticipantWell signals with 4 aspects would be nice if it would help trains to use different tracks if one is blocked by other trains. Aka advance warning signal so the train seeing that could switch to free track before it comes to the red signal.
LuewenParticipantZylark. There is a follow cam for vehicles. Just click the small target icon upper left corner of the trains/buses etc window.
LuewenParticipantWell 400 supply from factory supplies about eight 500 pop cities. So should be good for a while.
LuewenParticipantNow thats a big city for year 1897. :). So are all your routes straight ones or do they circle around?
And how did you actually devolope the city so fast. I started at year 1900 and by 2015 not any of my cities were that big or actually even half of that. And goods supply were full etc.

LuewenParticipantThere is less costs for vehicles sitting in depots at least. Havemt tested if that applies to trains waiting for load.
Also Mackintosh, it doesnt help to put more trains to carry goods from factory if the factory cant supply enough. It will only produce as much goods as the cities that it is connected to requests.
LuewenParticipantJwoo. How the heck you make so much profit on such short routes? I tried longer straight routes with 10 stops with freq of around 100 secs. There were just not enough passengers to make profit.
LuewenParticipantAzrael, routing the high speed routes around the station will only work if the around route is shorter. Otherwise the fast trains will just want to go through the station even if the need to slow down.
Also to benefit on those 300 km/h trains you need to have veeeery long distances between stations for them to be avle to reach those speeds. They kinda accelerate very slowly.
LuewenParticipantThe problem with load full on routes with more than 2 trains going on will be that they clog the tracks especially if there is more trains on a route than there are available platforms to stop.
LuewenParticipantHow did you plan your inside city tram/bus routes. I cant seem to find best way to do the routes to not start losing money after few years for some odd reason. Should i make circular route or 2 that cover plenty of city or should i make routes coming from central point somewhere and go around to different city districts? How about routes arranged certain way. Like from home only to work amd back or have a route go through all of the different zones.
Would really like some tips.
LuewenParticipantWell 400 production of goods can supply many cities.
LuewenParticipantAbout more than 5 tracks per station.
For a fast band aid until and if we get more platforms. Just put two 5 track station next to each other and group them. They will act as a one station after. You will need to make new lines to certai station though so every train dont use the 1 stations tracks only.
LuewenParticipantYeah. Things we definetily need to make multi track stations work without too much hassle:
block and path signals.
– Double slips. Those things are a must for stations without much space for rail switches.
-Three way switches.
-Rail over rail crossings.
Above things will make your marshalling yard needs doable.
