Yes and no. A bypass can’t add too much to travel time either, it needs to be roughly the same time. You could try building that right hand side bypass completely with country roads and as they have higher speed, it probably would work then.

As the game uses around 4 gigs of RAM, you definitely would benefit from at least doubling it. Ideally go for 16 gigs, and try to find the fastest type available.

Strange. For me, TFGM installs all the mods to MOD folder and no issues so far.

I can only agree with you Simonmd. And i’ll voice my concerns here too regarding the developments on this latest patch.

Freeing up more things on the game for modding, spells to me a plan to stop official support for it. Just like it happened in Simcity, Offline came and mod support was accepted, and the plug was pulled then. And if you think how small team it is behind this title, they don’t have the resources to keep this going as they need to make money and have another title releasing in the future. Be it TF2 or something else, whilst that is on development, resources can not be allocated to fix the old title as there isn’t much more they can do without re writing the whole thing.

I hope i’m wrong but i’m expecting to see 1 or 2 more patches, if even those and that’s it then. From there on, modding community will keep the title alive and fix the issues they can.

I’m afraid they are not that interested anymore… To me, opening the mod system up like they did in the last update allowing more things to be fixed with mods spells the same thing as offline and mod support was for Simcity… Official support comes slowly to an end and the product is left to hands of fans to keep it alive…

Hopefully not, but the signs are there…

USA DLC give a nice Freightliner truck around 2010 which carries 21 items. And the largest train waggon 18… Why on earth same rules don’t apply to road vehicles, meaning dividing the real life load capacity by 4 to get the game capacity? Why would anyone use trains in any case with those trucks available?

And why oh why we can’t have proper long trains with multiple engines? THAT is what USA is all about for trains…

It happens totally randomly. Within same map it may affect only one city.

Well, yes and no. Pretty much all of the issues could have been sorted out with little bit more testing before releasing the content. If it took this little time to fix it, it is great and bad at the same time. With the same time frame again it could have been done before releasing the update and DLC.

I’ve had the same issues quite a few times. Only way to do is little bit landscaping on both ends, build the tunnel and if i get the error, then try to build the doubling tunnel opposite way. So if you are building your track from say left to right, try the second tunnel from right to left. Sometimes helps, sometimes not. Also make sure that you are really building a double track, the one where there is no gap between the trackbeds. Sometimes the game builds a version with a gap in between the tracks, and that can not be built into the tunnel.

Interesting, as i never had any issues with the Cim2, but then again, if it was all that, it got fixed, right?

It’s not a city builder forum true, but people are just saying that since this game and it’s updating is what it is, they are moving on to the other games and might be that they don’t come back. Which counts as a lost and unhappy customer which again is not great for the potential future sales. After all, it’s just a question of how developer handles these things and Skylines was brought in as an example of good work by their developer, Colossal Order. I appreciate also that Urban Games is a small team, but so is CO and they always have time to comment on things. Not everything, but into threads like this for sure.

All i would like to know is why they are doing such a sloppy job? Why the dedication is not there and things made as well as possible with a proper testing taking its place before release. Why not speak with the customers?

It’s full of this kind of badly coded UI issues. It’s like there hasn’t been a single thought given to user friendlines and it just turned out like this. And the world is full of games showing how it should be done, and what is more or less and standard. For example in edge scrolling. I think that because they don’t know how to code it to work on top of the menus, they had to split the menu to each corner and side of the screen to allow enough clear edge so it works at least in some parts.

Olahaldor, there is no anger, just frustration. Game has great potential and it is fun to play to some extent. All the unfinished and half ar*ed things in it will always get you on the game and pisses you off. I keep coming back to it because i like this kind of games, but every single time i play it, i remember why i quit playing it after a while.

Yes, they need to. So that is a wrong placement of the stations. Ideally, you don’t really want to use those big stations here for buses or trams as they just clog everything up. My biggest annoyance with them is that passangers coming and going across the entrance to the tram/bus station will block it and my buses/trams will always have to wait until it’s clear. And on large busy cities, it’s pretty much never.

What i do instead, is just place a normal stop along the road, or build a road for it parallel to the main road, allowing buses and trams to turn around easily, if needed. Stop is also always placed after the pedestrian crossing so people exiting the vehicle will go across the road behind it, leaving free road in front of the vehicle for it to depart.

Yes we are. And not the gamers who would like their streets straight without kinks and bends slowing the traffic down…
