how many residents do you have in this city tossi?
BastargreParticipanti really cant wait to get this one running in my game
one question: How long is the train ingame? (so i now how long my stations need to be
October 11, 2014 at 11:09 in reply to: I see no difference in city growth with or without inside transport #11407BastargreParticipantthere should be stations with exits at both sides of the rails. stations with more then 1 platform already have tunnels underneath them to get the passengers to the middle platforms. it should be easy to make an exit on the other side also
BastargreParticipantthanks Big Elk. i am using your solution and have created a 5 wide tunnel at one side (money issues make that the other side still has to wait). first line already up and running
i will post a pic later
BastargreParticipant1. platform lenght influences maximum train length and maximum waiting capacity (the length of the platform = passengers. so a 320m platform = 320 waiting people max)
2. i believe it only is an aesthetic difference
3. elevated = no
underground = no
but you can make a sunken station by building a road and lowering the middle with the m/n keys and then building a station (http://www.train-fever.com/forums/topic/center-city-10-platform-tunnel-station/)
BastargreParticipanti also have a problem with the tunnels:
i have build a sunken 5 track station (24om) and now i want for both sides to have those 5 lines enter tunnels, so 1 single tunnel and 2 double tunnels. but once i build 1 of those tunnels i cant build the other ones because it says terrain collision.
any idea on how to solve this?
BastargreParticipantto prevent automobile take over you need to destroy every road connecting your city to other cities. this will boost your rail-traffic and reduce trafficjams
BastargreParticipantlets hope it will work better then the real life ones which broke down in the netherlands =)
would definitely download it
BastargreParticipant@gGeorg. that works fine with 2 trains but with 4 or more trains and goods and passenger lines using the same track it gets messy soon
BastargreParticipantthe most import part with passenger train lines is to delete roads connecting the cities you want to connect with the train. this way you get people who normally would take the car to use the train instead and thus boosting profits
BastargreParticipantits important to have the lines connect different zones. so a line only going through a residential area will gain less profit then a line going form residential via leisure via commercial to industry.
in a large city i usually let my lines begin at the trainstation and have 4 lines (2 pairs) each pair servicing about half of the city and each having 1/2 stops per area (residential/commercial/leisure/industry). of each pair one goes clockwise and the other counterclockwise. this way i get profits from those lines
i view these innercity lines as feeders for my railway network and as a way to let the city grow which increase cargo demand and thus profit on the cargo lines
BastargreParticipantabout the football field.
i think it is a shame a field with 60 leisure looks exactly the same as one with 130 leisure. i would love to see the 130 one more as a complete stadium then a simple field
BastargreParticipantone word: AWESOME
BastargreParticipantit isn’t a bad idea, it just isn’t high priority
what would be nice would be the option to dedicate the zoning of a city for yourself. so you decide where the leisure/housing/commercial/industry are. this way you could create a coastal town for yourself. and it would allow us to create industrial areas away from the cities for increased realism
