i agree with Traian Trante.
to get a decent network of switches around stations takes to much room which results in not being able to mix lines
BastargreParticipant@Enzojz. i completly agree. not being able to place signs/switches on bridges and tunnels prevents the building of long bridges/tunnels.
i would also like to be able to make an intersection on a road bridge
BastargreParticipanti would also love to see station with more platforms. so i can have a pax-station with 6/7 plaforms (on a small map 6 other cities besides main hub, so 6 lines going out of the central-hub station) on one side and a cargo-station with 2/3 platforms on the other side
BastargreParticipant@NLTops you can add vehicles to lines from any depot. even one from the other end of the map. as long as there is a route to the line the vehicle needs to be add to.
i think/believe a vehicle goes to the nearest stop on that line to join that line

that is not necessary, if you keep your mods activated you can just start the game via steam

maybe you could also make some of the bridges like in one of these links. if you could make them in a road and rail version it would be epic

avenues would be great to have indeed. but i would also like the option to create between cities rails meant to be used by trams like in the netherlands with the “RandstadRail” http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/RandstadRail
BastargreParticipantif you destroy the roads between cities car traffic decreases significantly (can be seen as cheating but necessary to get railways up and running). if you also have 1/2 buslines in your city almost no cars will drive (these lines usually cost money but it is worth it)
BastargreParticipant@DK115. it would indeed be nice to have on a 320m meter platform the option to split the platform in an a-side and a b-side just like at most of the stations in the netherlands. and if there is a switch in the middle it would even be more perfect
BastargreParticipantwith rail cargo it is important to make long lines because they get you more profit then short lines. also the iron/coal trains make good profit
BastargreParticipantRoanoss. it is 160 people for each track. so a 5 track-160m station has a maximum waiting capacity of 800 (160 for each track)
BastargreParticipantyou are correct. production is driven by demand from towns (towns demands goods from factory –> factory demand resources from forrest/mine/well).
you also need to take in account the 20 min limit (if either of the 2 steps: resources –> factories / goods –> towns) takes more then 20 min the production wont start
